I downloaded it last week when the final stress test started in anticipation.

I thought they'd make you download the open beta client. Nothing worse than spending days downloading to find you need to do it again, so I didn't.

I am really annoyed. When I signed up to download the client I got a key, created an account and everything. Now it can't find the account and my email address is not registered. Account signups are closed.

Wtf happened to the account I created?

Most annoying after spending 30 hours downloading.

There's currently some server issues right now. Maybe that's why you're having difficulty.

I can't connect, and I suspect no one else can either at the moment.

Yeah actually you are right.

I didn't think it was a server problem since the initial error was at the handshaking stage, indicating a bad account, and there was no record of an account belonging to my email address, which seemed to confirm.

But on one last forlorn try I got a different error, so kept trying. I feel like I am being teased.........I keep getting one stage further each time, but always get disconnected when trying to connect to a server.

Still, tomorrow maybe, if they don't thwart me by ending beta overnight.

I'm a bit worried about Blizzard's attitude in regards to roleplaying and immersion, however. The roleplay servers are a good sign - and it'll be great if they make RP-PvP servers. But then, they're offering 3 'special' pets (which don't fight - just follow you around and look pretty) with the collectors addition: a Panda, a zergling, and a "mini-diablo". The panda's allright, but the other two? Please.

I half expect there to be a high-end "cow level" or something to that extent that's going to have you fighting protoss and crap, now.
