Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I really thought there would be more people here playing. The game really had no fanfare when it was released. It just happened to be released the same day as a certain X-box game that has a little more hpye attached to it.
Graphics are top notch. In fact, the fastes PC today cannot run this game at the highest graphics settings. This game is designed to meet computer standards 3 years down the line.
Gameplay is pretty good. But I'm still not sure I can play a game with no end. The quests are decent, though I feel they could be better. They may get better further down the line.
$15 a month though
I just don't think it's worth that much money. What can I say. I haven't decided if I'll buy or not.
generally you have to get into a base, like a group of some sort of online people who you often play with
that is what made AO for me
otherwise it is like a single player RPG with less story and other people to occasionally talk to

this seems to be some where in between of AO and FFXI (I have played FFXI, COH, and AO)
it is very pretty and smooth, the earlier part is more static quest based than AO
Recovering is fairly quick and easy, at least at lower levels (and for a preist), I think the experience debt system is closer to how it is done in COH (isn't as nice as AO, I think)
crafting seems fairly detailed, I am not at all sure how useful it is (in AO crafting was also detailed, however there was only certain things that were useful)
crafting is the most interesting of the games I have tried
the first 6 levels are going to be pretty much the same everytime, since you have to start on the newby island
I am only level 6, so....
also, one other thing I like, currently there is a lot bigger since of the unkown than there is in AO (all the unknown that exists there, is for really high levels). this probably won't last

I used to think my system was pretty fast. But the game is a bit slow in the cities.
It ran great in the newbie island. I had the graphics jacked up and everything looked fantastic. But the game is running slow in the cities. So I had to lower the graphics back down. .
I need more Ram. I have a pretty good system, but I only have 512 MG of RAM.

I have a level 12 dwarven crusader on Valor. So far it's nice, even though my poor 3 years old computer is overstressed especially in city zones. It's a German server. I tried to get on an anglophone, to meet with some guild friends from EQ1, but the SoE *******s don't let me, blocking my access.
