    1280x1024 17 inch LCD iiyama 75hz 32bit
But I can't use my own computer too much now, my HD is crashing all the time, and when I was flashing my bios I did something wrong I think because now I can only have my ram running at 266mhz instead of 400 mhz

=> this on top of my old performance issues make my computer total crap, all the more because my HD crashes after a few minutes (sometimes half an hour or more!)
It keeps making those tikking noise that you only hear when turning off your computer (and HD )

My computer runs like a dream.

I used 1600x1200 when I first got my 21" CRT (just because I could!), but 1280x1024 is the best compromise between lots of desktop space and actually being able to comfortably read it!

Either your HD is dying, or not well connected ( happened to me I had to pull ! the plug a little to make it comfortable ).

Hmm, Spike, we can count too.

As my eyes aren't what they used to be, I run 1024x768 32bpp at 85hz although it can do this resolution at 100 hz and 1280x1024 at 85hz.

And my font size is fine

                        • This question is slightly OT (only slightly), I was wondering if someone could shed some light?

A couple of days ago I took delivery of a new laptop, I got around to installing RON, i was dissapointed to be only getting ~14- 17 FPS (on the large battles) but the more I played the game I realized I could n't see much (any) slowdown. I used to have a crappy Geforce4 MX card that played RON aound this speed on my CRT and I found the game horrible to play and had to upgrade

Do TFT's show less slowdown that CRT's somehow?

                          • You are all going to go blind staring at those tiny fonts. Use whatever res you like, but at 1280*1024 on a 19" screen, the default font size will make you go blind.

                            • Not as far as I know... don't know how having a TFT should be able to change such...
This space is empty... or is it?
