Final Battle, Leg 1

1. Commodus approaches Drogue carefully, deciding to use a well-rounded strategy in such a crucial battle. Confident over his almost unblemished history of victories, he charges at Drogue, who in turn decides to largely neglect his defence. Commodus takes immediate advantage of this and chops Drogue with his huge sword for 27 points of damage. The Lord of Antoine, however, counterattacks with the strength given to him by Commodus' strike and scores 32 points of damage on Commodus' already scarred body.

2. Both gladiators decide to not swift away from their already established strategy, and blows are exchanged, on Commodus' for 35 points and on Drogue for 27, mirroring the first segment.

3. Drogue decides to take a breather and makes only a modicum of an attack on Commodus, but Commodus is able to shrug it off easily, proceeding to make a counterblow worth 9 points of damage.

The situation after leg 1 is incredibly close: Commodus has 33 HP left, while Drogue has 37 HP.

Kass: My second hit should be for 35 points of damage though. I did 32+35 points of damage, so Commodus should be on 33, and Commodus did 27+27+9, so I should be on 37, as you've put.

Final Battle, leg 2

1. After the brutal first leg, with health becoming a scarce commodity, both fighters opt for a more careful and defensive approach in segment 1, resulting in no damage to either party.
2. However in the second segment Drogue decides to once again pretty much neglect his defensive play in favour of a head-on attack. Unfortunately for him, his finely tuned coreographics thought up with a decisive blow in mind prove useless, and instead Commodus manages to sneak in a retaliatory cut worth 9 HP, equalizing the situation somewhat.
3. In the final round Commodus is almost spent after all of this tumbling about, but Drogue is too w(e)ary after the second segment and resorts to just keeping Commodus' nominal attacks at bay.

And so, Commodus now has 33 HP, while Drogue has 28 HP left. This is getting interesting.

And so the possibility of the double-KO rears its ugly head once more.

Maybe a discussion is in order?

I'd be inclined to give them 100 HP more each and start over. But we do need to discuss it.

50 is too low for the effective power bonus in this game. 100 is best.
