So have you learned anything yet, grasshopper?I'm consitently stupid- Japher
I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Semifinals, leg 6
B1: Emperor Commodus vs. Spacius Maximus
1. Spacius withdraws into a defensive position, but that is of no use to him. Commodus raises his sword and shouts: "This will end!" - And accompanied by a loud "NOW!" he rushes at Spacius, who is simply unable to resist the charge. Commodus strikes at his shield once, twice, and suddenly Spacius loses grip of the only protection he has, and Commodus plunges his blade deep into Spacius' rib cage. Commodus immediately pulls it out, and watches in silence as Spacius falls back, who as he plummets stares into the sky, somehow not surprised at how things turned out to be. He doesn't get up again, for the blow has been worth the exact 19 points of health he had left in him.
Spacius "One Hit Wonder" Maximus lies slain* on the battlefield. Emperor Commodus wins, and proceeds to the final game.
B2: Lord Drogue vs. Jack the Knife
1.-2. Trying to shrug off the failure of the last leg, Jack attempts a series of fast and agile moves to try to even out the score. But Drogue's moves are as swift, maybe even more so, and he is able to easily block Jack's assaults.
3. This flurry leaves Jack completely exhausted for the remaining segment, and it is time for Drogue to brutally take advantage of this. He calmly steps up to the panting Jack, draws his sword, and Jack is only barely able to counter with his arm a strike that would have, had it hit home, decapitated him. The slash does deal him a dramatic 18 points of damage, however, and only a thread worth 3 points is keeping him from the afterlife.
* Actually he's just faking it for the audience.Last edited by Kassiopeia; December 2, 2004, 13:01.Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!
