The Molyneaux part really scares me, but from all reports it looks pretty good.
From the reports Black & White looked good.

So I'll rent it. (Something PC owners can't do!)
No, PC owners can just download the full game for free. (without using modchips, not including DC)

Yes, but its a lot easier to control your gaming urges with rented games. Kids, say no to procrastination!

Well, duh! BTW, with a console, you can buy, you can rent AND you can steal.

You need a computer to pirate console games, though.

Why the hell do you assume they're mutually exclusive?

Obviously people here have a computer.

Knock it off and think for a bit.

Renting is usually a lot longer than that, like five or seven days. In other words, a good deal for an easy game.

i read the game is sorta unbalanced and ranged charaters a bit broken. the targeting system for magic especially is said to be bad so you will end up killing lots of friendlies by mistake. it auto targets them and there is no way not to. other than that it sounds pretty good so far.

The argument presented was "not everyone has money to spend on a computer"

But a computer is obviously a better investment than a console for anyone who is cash strapped.

The idea was a competent gaming computer, given the context.

Your can pick up a computer for the internet for about $200 (used - comp show), a competent gaming computer will cost you at least $600. In most peoples cases quite a bit more.

And your going to spend a bit on upgrades every year or two.

Which is why my original reply mentioned how I would of had to of bought 4 or 5 consoles in the time that I have had this computer to keep up with the games. And still be left out on all the other things a computer provides.

Played a lot more last year (and slept WAAAY later than I should have because of it).

I'm really getting into the meat of the game. I did the 'build up a hero' quests and now I seems I'm in the 'main story' quests. The graphics were stunning the Darkwood and the Balverines were amazing! They looked stunning and were somewhat difficult to dispatch.

I broke the bank and got myself an Obsidian Greatsword. Best ~5000 gold, I ever spent . I put a flame augmentation in it and it kicks ass. Though at some point I have to upgrade my armor from leather. Though I don't have the money for plate armor yet. Hell, I'm still wearing Villager pants.

My character also has some distinctiveness. I got a regular haircut, with a sheriff mustache, and mutton chops. Along with that attractive look, I have some renown in the world, so the women are swooning over me. But back off ladies, I took a wife! (and those wedding rings are freaking expensive!) Though that doesn't preclude me from taking a wife in another area of the world .

My house and wife are in Bowerstone, but I find Oakvale to be a little more interesting. Perhaps that is because that's the last place I was, or maybe because of the ties to the beginning of the game, or the great merchants (best in the game so far!), but Oakvale is fun. Though a Manoral House there is 5000 gold! To rich for my blood so far!

I also like some of the mini games. Fishing is very fun and I do it whenever I can... it gets to me something to eat during battles and I enjoy it. Showing the trophy to everyone is sometimes annoying, however. Though if it leads to more renown, I'm for it . And I've just started the digging for buried treasure, though that's because I was told where to dig .

I'm about 6 hours in the game have apparently have done 7 main quest and 7 minor quests. Though the main story is really beginning to kick in now. I've apparently had sex 4 times with the wife (only way to have sex in the game) and kicked a chicken 4.1... feet/yards/whatever measurement.

I was tired of being called 'Chicken Chaser', so after like 80 gold, I'm now 'Sabre'. Not great, but much better than Chicken Chaser. I appreciate being called Sabre when I run past villigers .
