    • Son of Blagger?
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

      • sigh - i've just had a terrible realisation

Zool2? - and for some reason, as the person who maybe hated Zool more than any other platform character, i seem to be haunted by this game. And whenever a platform title is up to be guessed, i just dread it when i see the word 'sequel' in the clue........... :shudders:
.......bl**dy ninja from the nth dimension my arse!

                • like one of those light interlude snacks?

hmm maybe we could add something in the rules about this, maybe along the lines of not counting 'interlude' guesses? and maybe having a fixed time for how long an abandoned guess can go before someone else can have a go?

ok heres an easy non-counting interlude guess

                  platform: ZX81

clue1: it was a 'feature' of the 16k ram pack that added a new dimension to the home computer experience and maybe lead to the first case of a now common home computer term for frustration.

clue2: It became a 'game' just trying to avoid it!

                            • The 16K ram pack (the original came with 1K) had a habit of falling off the back of the ZX81. It also had a keyboard (well sort of) that made typing a challenge - think spectrum but without being raised from the actual base and without the rubber.

And if you really want to show your age you could describe it as the successor to the ZX80 rather than the precursor to the spectrum
