(I really have no idea so I'm guessing all the fixed-screen platformers I can think of. Of course it's probably not a platformer at all.)

    • it's hard. With so many potential possible games it could be its very hard to narrow down. I feel like a barracuda confronted by a huge shoal of fish

I'm just throwing volley after volley here. Eventually you have to hit something.
Skeptics should forego any thought of convincing the unconvinced that we hold the torch of truth illuminating the darkness. A more modest, realistic, and achievable goal is to encourage the idea that one may be mistaken. Doubt is humbling and constructive; it leads to rational thought in weighing alternatives and fully reexamining options, and it opens unlimited vistas.

            • Clue 6: When I say there was no scrolling I mean each level is a self contained screen, where you have to collect a certain number of that certain object.

This is tough since I never had a Spectrum, I have to think about my older commodore games, didn't start playing till 87. I of course meant chuckie egg

                      C64s were great I had over a 1000 games, ~6 I purchased legally.

I loved Jumpman. You wouldn't happen to know the unlimited lives code would you? No one I've asked on classic gaming forums ever could answer me.

Anyhoo, that sounds like about the ratio of bought to pirated games I had as well.

It looks likes it's already been guessed.

But Space Taxi fits the requirements as long a certain number isn't the same number in every level.
