Question. I see some people conjuring buffs for hundreds of turns (thanks, btw
)... How do they get so much MP? I have 37 max right now, so I can't do more than 15 turns worth of a good buff, for instance?

Increase your mysticality. Your MPs increase with it.
Some characters can buy items that base their MPs off their primary stat rather than mysticality, but I don't find that too useful as I level all my stats at about the same rate.I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).Comment

There's also the Star Starfish and the Ghoul Whelp. Also, a lot of items increase your max MP.
