........just save the game in the battlescape mode, on the amiga it was in one of the options icons i think? I used to have to do this a lot - those 'creeping around hunting down that last snake man' missions could last a while!

Once or twice I've found them hiding in my own craft. I hated it when they did that.

Oh yeah, there it is, under the question mark button. It *has* been a long time since I played this game!

that first time through the game - all those little surprises, your right it could be uncomfortable at times - but so damn good.

@ DaveV - cool, now you can just get into it again

I'll take some small comfort knowing someone is having fun with this game. My PC version seems to have gone walkabout, and my amiga version suffers from a sick amiga.

Its funny that it never got the sequels it deserved.........very much a missed opportunity

Yeah right. I like to see him take down an alien battleship without advanced weapons.

Well, I have gone as far as cheating, so that I can learn how to play the game.

Let's just say I have plenty of money.

                        • Well, if you could get one of your soldiers to carry it into combat, then yes, it would... I guess...

                          • Plasma Defence is a base facility that fires at a UFO trying to bring in troops to assault your own base. When they come at you, they'll come in force, and IIRC you need two to three PD's to shrug off a battleship.

you don't actually have to shoot them down. just intercept them with the skyranger when it's on the ground. they will have a full compliment of soldiers, but they can be taken out.
