They fixed this in latter versions of the engine.

      Not in Icewind Dale II.

In Chapter 1 I healed myself during the goblin raid.

and in Chapter 3 when I was fighting hte Chimera underground in the hellhole- after being repeatedly slaughtered... I decided to cheat and lured the enemies out room by room and won with little damage taken.

Well, that's the only IE game I haven't played. Fixed in BG2 though. I'm talking about the Not following through doors thing.

CGI doesn't have anything to do with graphics.

Especially in anime consoles... one lasted 15 minutes. I left the room ate dinner, came back and it was still on!

are you sure you were playing an actual computer game and not watching a DVD?

Nope haven't played the game. It looked really good although. I didn't get my own computer until last October so it was kinda pointless to buy games before then.

                        What about sequels to Homeworld?

OgreBattle was nice - at least your actions counted for something. Chrono Trigger was different too.

It seems that if I wanted something truly non-linear I would have to go into a MMORPG and if I wanted a real RP, it's either that or a MUD. The problem it's so time consuming and cost money (except for MUDs).

And RoN has a non-linear campaign also... But there's basicly no story in it, except that you want to control the world
This space is empty... or is it?

RoN has a non-linear campaign that same way that Risk has a non-linear campaign

                                Yep
What's wrong with Risk's campaign? I have played (or at least I've started) campaigns in most rts games I've played, but the only one I enjoyed is the campaign in RoN (which is also the only one I've actually finished... several times)

I haven't played any rts games with a non-linear campaign yet
