This could only have happened if Smiley wanted to attack Jamski at my bases. So if Jamski hadn't attacked, Smiley would have retreated.

No, if I hadn't attacked, Smiley would have captured your undefended bases, while my fleets valiantly defended my homes against your maruading pirates!

See - no one trusts you after last game - there were three fleets sent to get you on the first turn!

And I vote recaptured bases count as captured bases - the reduction in production was always meant to show that these bases were "damaged goods"

        *grins*

I bet EVERYONE will attack Jamski with orders to fight whoever they find there, seeing that Jam has no fleet of his own anymore.

Wait! This wasn't possible in GO 1. You can't attack the one who takes over the bases. This was the rule.

Who changed the rule and when?

This is to spite me Jam? I always considered the reduction in production was intended to show these bases were different technology, difficult to adjust to the normal production, hence contributing only smaller amount of BPs. The damaged bases can easily be repaired.

                    Ok, 4 mistakes.
That was round 1, and Ljube's fleet have been refitted with torpedos.

If last game recaptured bases stayed as captured, then so they shall in this game.
The person this hurts the most is Jamski, btw.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

It was a general agreement among the 3 GM's (Jamski, me, Skanky) that players could give "attack target regardless of who occupies" order. Doing away with this rule could lead to lots of late orders this turn of people trying to cherrypick Jamski.

In regards to the base recapturing, captured bases always are captured bases, this is easier to keep track of. I don't think this hurts Jamski any more or less though, as he has no fleet and can't build another.

I would appreciate if you 3 GMs would sometimes care to convey your agreements on the rules of the game to the general population. My turn would have been completely different if I had known this beforehand.

They did not, but since you are the GM, let's fix this once and for all and let them stay captured if you say so.

Mmm, Skanky... error report, I ordered my ship yards to build a laser and a fighter cruiser each, not frigates...

O yes, ignore my default orders given for round 2 in the earlier turn, I'll re-evaluate first...
