and also- why won't you ever let me build my **** 12th city! I keep complaining about that and nothing happens! I think I've spent 72 gold on nothing so far!

It's been 2 turns that I meant to build it and nothing happened- why? please answer me? Am I calculating wrong? I should have its income from two turns right now.

(Well, actually, looking closer it appears on the map, but not in the chart- could you please doublecheck that the gold still counted toward my total)

In retrospect, I should of sent it against the war phase... 'though I was certain he would send a spy against me this turn to protect against such a thing.


EDIT: Ah, I see that Sparrowhawk did send a spy at me, afterall. And I had just gotten my calculator out show how I should still have some cities left.

I did actually consider not attacking you this round, but only just briefly . Looking forward to playing you again in the next game General Ludd. (and to explain I attacked you primarily because your wonders worried me, and I thought the game could soon be over if you were not stopped soon.

I have a question on Trade...
Last game Smiley stopped trade when everyone was a war with each other so obviously a nation at war cannot trade with the nation it is at war with, but can the Caravans cross enemy lines? (meaning that if your enemy is between another Society and you, can the Trade cross your enemies territory into the other society whom you are not at war with?)

Yes, i figured as much. What's ironic though is that I wasn't actually trying to win my cultural victory.... although that's probably what I would've ended up doing since no one else seemed to be very interested in building wonders.

On turn 7, I researched tech 9, built a lot of armies, and built 4 more cities (which are indicated on the map, but not on the table, so I know you got my orders but didn't update the stats.)

Hey GC, I mean....just how much does it cost to support an army under republic. I thought that it is 1 army = 1 gold.
Plus don't I have some money from my trade?

I wondered about that too, so I scanned the rules again and I think the reasoning is that you don't get income from newly captured cities. I am guessing that what income you got from your city that you had at the start of your turn was used to support the armies you have left?
