Keeps to the spirit of Transport Tycoon and adds the easiness and functionality of the RCT engine and design. It also has multiplayer.

The track building method may be annoying sometimes, but the added functionality it provides is well worth it. You'll get used to it, and you probably already are if you've played Roller Coaster Tycoon.

That's not the only scenario in the demo. There's also a Britain 1955 one under a harder difficulty setting.

Did you try taking out a loan? I didn't bother personally, but just a thought.

Meh, they both have mediocore graphics. Locomotion, however, also has functional graphics.

I'd skip on Transport Giant, personally.
Yes I just try the Airport and you lose money big time. Wait for the game.

The game has been released... or at least it's supposed to... wasn't it today the game was set to arrive to stores?
This space is empty... or is it?

I just spent ... nay ... wasted the last hour going to Best Buy, to EBGames at the mall, and to Wallyworld (Walmart to those of you who don't know ) and not one of them had it. Of course, this being Reno, they're probably using the cop-out excuse *snivelling* "Well, it's harder for us to get shipments over the mountains." *snivelling*

            Grrr...

The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.

The Weighted Companion Cube is cheating on you, that slut.

I call EB at the Hilltop Mall in Richmond, Ca. and SW Etc at the Fairfield Mall in Fairfield, Ca., and both said tomorrow.

First impression: The autorun splash has techno music reminiscent of the kind you get in warez rip installers.

EDIT: Atleast, form what I've been told about such things.

EDIT again: Oh man, it's even got a "view release notes" button that points you to the readme.

Just checked the 3 stores again. Nada. EBGames had its coming soon folder out and I looked in it. Sept. 8th was listed.

I might take back what I said about the RCT style track building being worth it. You can't make the same kind of compact dual rail stations that you could in the original Transport Tycoon. But on the other hand, you can make intricate underground transit systems and build more sophysticated land bridges. (including all together raised tracks or roads which have turns and all)

It'll take soem more experimentation, I guess, before I can really say if I like the new more than the old.

There is a random map generator by the way, and it's pretty good -alot of variables to toy with. My only complaint is that it tends to drop terrain types down in blocky formations.

SW Etc and EB both today said no. When talking with the sale people, I get the feeling that they and their Co. really don't care if they get the game. I don't think Atari is pushing this game.

Yeah, the guy at my local EB said he'd never heard of it, and didn't have it in the listings anywhere. Nor did GameStop. I guess this is what happens when you're a "budget" title...

Tell him to look it up under C. Sawyer game. And that Chris is the maker of RCT.

That's how I found it today. The listing, not the game.
