As for NWN persistent worlds, my little brother (age 23, not THAT little) has become completely hooked on the Narfell Campaign.

It's a 3rd person RPG with a detailed ruleset: specifically a direct copy of those found in one edition of Dungeons and Dragons (I forget which...). It has decent graphics and interesting, if highly scripted, gameplay. One of its highlights is the powerful editor and most players agree that fan created mods are much better than the strictly linear campaign that comes with the game. The supreme goal is to defeat the evil person and save the world (region?). Once you've won, the game is over but can be replayed with as many characters as you like.
Another important part is the multiplayer. It's like playing D&D, but over the net using characters. Just like the pen-and-paper game, you have a dungeon master who leads you on the quests (either the main in-game quest or a custom one) and can add is own dialouge, characters, etc. in real time. From what I hear, a free (there is no monthly fee to pay after you've bought the game) MMORPG experience can be had with persistant online worlds. I'm waiting a list of the good ones .
Man, I sure have way too much free time. That was 2 paragraphs!cIV list: cheats
Now watch this drive!

I don't have HotU... it just doesn't seem to be worth the $30 retail price, given the reviews. I *do* have SoU and have played through its main campaign twice, however.
Does anyone here REALLY have HotU and would care to talk about how good it is and whether it's worth the $30 retail?Long-time poster on Apolyton and WePlayCiv

And I did have some bugs my first run through the game. Some of it may have been my system- which was below minimum specs. Most of the bugs involved the cut scenes.
But now I have a new computer- things run just fine.
