I wonder what is the status of the version control system. Has kaan managed to get the code online or not?

He has. An archive is online with the original code, the files from the 2004.12.27 all pack, and the individual changes up to (not including) 2005.01.11. Useful, if you just want to get the (almost) latest version, or need a reference to check your own recent modifications against.

However, the step from the original code to the 2004.12.27 all pack is quite large. In parallel, ctplinuxfan and J Bytheway have been working on archives that contain more versions, but these are not online yet. When one of these is going to replace the current archive, any additions to the current achive will probably have to be redone, so we have not really been using it as a version control system yet.

        Thanks Fromafar

So if I am not mistaken, ctplinuxfan has merged the original gode with all past changes but kaan hasn't put it online yet, right?

Some of you might have noticed that the server isnt running.
Sunday there were a malfunction in the serverroom and the temperature was 37.2 grades celsius.
My server, an ageing netfinity 5000, have since refused to start. Im working on a solution.

Hi foks, heres a little update.

I have finished the project i was working on and now im using a lot of energy on getting my money for it.
This means that i have studiet some law an hired a lawyer to write threatning letters to the company i worked for.
This is all in place now and im getting more and more time on my hands again.
I will try to revive the server this weekend and hopefully it will be fully operational by sunday evening.
Im also renaming it to "Deathstar" because it is bulky, black, powerfull and has died on me when i least needed it

Last night i got the server up and running again, this time with a hotspare in the raid.
Today i am going to reestablish subversion.
Since all data was lost i will need your username/password again.

Should we need a backup version control server? I have a server online and I'm able to host one if it's needed.

now the server is running fully again, next step is to get a dump from one of your repositorys.

Keygen: that is a splendid idea

As I said before, I think the best way for you to get mine would be to allow me to upload it via ftp. If ctplinuxfan's is still where he put it before, then that would probably be rather easier for you to get.

The repository made by ctplinuxfan is now online, i dont think it is up to current so please dont make any commits yet.
If someone were to take on the task of bringing the repository up to date i will be very thankfull as i cant spare any more time right now.

im finding more and more of your old passwords in my old mail folder so please try the old password before reapplying, thank you

When I try to connect I get a "No respository found in svn://217.195.177.70/home/ctp2/sub" error.

                            Hi,

here is an incremental dump that should provide the changes until 14.03.05 06:13:57.

Please place it into repository with:
                            Code:
                            bzip2 -dc file.bz2 | svnadmin load /path/to/repos/ctp2
                            Ciao
                            Holger

I have no internet access at home for some time, so it's rather rare when i can send files.

In case the dump cannot be applied due to a checksum error, here is an incremental dump without deltas. Please only apply it once to the repository and only if applying the dump of my previous post fails (cmd like in the post above):

                              Size|Filename
                              439663|ctp2-kaan-dk-r282-incremental-r283-r291.dump.bz2

Thanks ctplinuxfan, the repository is now up to date.
                                The first patch worked fine
