You rock!!!
I would love to see a new/additional intro movie, I've had that idea in my head since before the source code was even released, but there was never anyone around with the necessary skills. Of course, I don't know how other people feel about it, I guess we should start a seperate thread on that...
Can you design units? The Alexander v1.5 scenario has a 'Siege Tower' unit, but it's reusing AoE graphics. That could cause some legal problems. If you could come up with a new graphics for some kind of ancient siege unit that would be great!

intro movie....
that'll take a long friggin time... (but yeah... it CAN be done I would say if I started now... expect it in 2006)
but units.. absolutely..
just for the fun of it.. you know... we could get REAL crazy... I could re-do ALL the graphics in a higher resolution... and the maps... etc...
it'd be a BIG damn project... but it'd be funLast edited by LStanley; November 6, 2004, 11:26.-----------------------------------------

People often remark of me, "You say sorry far to much!". To which my common-sense reply is "I apologise".

I'd like to sign up.
I've been playing these games since civ1, but my ctp2 cd has been sitting on the bookshelf for a few years now. I've just picked it back up an am keen to get involved again.
I'm not a programmer, but I do a lot of programming and scripting for work. I can compile on VC6, VS.NET on windows or GCC on linux. I've seen older copies of the source and am starting to get to know my way around.
I'd like to be able to get current versions of the source code and gradually make fixes and tweaks here and there as I discover various anoyances and bugs.

I would like to sign-up as a C++ developer and programmer.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Pablo Martin Viva, I'm 22 years old and I've been studiying programming since I was 15 years old. Nowadays I'm working as a Java and C++ Developer for a Software Factory in Argentina.
I really like the idea of programming games, specially strategy games such as Civilization. I would like to know if there is still any vacancy, so I can become part of this group.
I actually develop in C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 21003, but I can also develop using OpenWatcom C++ or a MingW Compiler with Dev-Cpp IDE.
My e-mail and msn for you to contact me is c_pp_programmer@yahoo.com.ar and my msn is pm_viva@hotmail.com
Best Regards
PABLO
