    • Hi E, It's a problem with auto-resizing and fontsize, I'll add this to the to-do-sonest list. This, as well as all other resizable boxes, should remember size and position, but aparently I missed this one. (It saves it, but doesn't load it) Please report any other windoes that doen't remember their sizes.

Thanks Martin! Any chance you look at saving default transparencies too?

Also, I started messing around with Variation Rules. It always starts at 0 unless you add a new one. Maybe its because I'm a newbie at it but how do I scroll through the different rules and change them.

Do the tile numbers (left most boxes) correspond to the variation rule number?

If I add a new variation rule of one tile set does it affect the previevious too?

Does a variation rule only apply to the directions set or to the tile types?

(maybe the answers to these should be added in the variation rule help too)

        • E take a look at the previous pages of these threads when the vr was worked out a lot of “useful” info was thrown up then.

              • SWEET!

I'll look through the thread, thx. Quick question though it looks like VR allows for new terrains to be used by the standard game (instead of just scenarios or mods) is that true?

                • I have almost fixed the color and size isues. If you are lucky I'll get time to finish it tomorrow afternoon. (If I'm lucky I'll not have the time ) Acording to plan I'll have 3-3½ hours spare time between two jobs.

                  • Yes vr should work for new terrain.

                    • How do you delete VRs. I made a bunch of them but now realize that one VR effects everyposition as well, so I think I have a few that contradict each other. I also can't view thedifferent VRs so how do I know which to replace?

                      • Edit -> Delete -> VariationRule or just press Ctrl+Alt+V

Don't worry about contradictory VRs, The original has a few of those. It should just create more variation.

Below TileRules, there is a Box that controls the display of VariationRules. But TileEdit needs a screenheight of ~820 pixels. More if you use large font.

THanks for the great customer service Martin I'll play with it more tonight. I flipped through the thread but didn't see a list for what the 13 VRs apply to. Unless you know I'll try to work it and write up a list. What is the update button supposed to do?

If I add a terrain set, I assume I have to script what properties it has because I notice that the VR applies to a number code for each tile set. Is there a way to do this through tile edit or does it have to be scripted?

                            • I downloaded the most recent. When I go to edit VR a window does come up that lets mme replace or add a VR but if I scroll through the positions it doesnt changes (stays as the swamp one). Am I missing something?
