      Cool, a tile editor.

Mayby this will enable me to change the tile improvements and the terrains.

I was thinking about using unit sprite without movement points, as a workaround for my scen's.

I think this is mayor improvement for the ctp development.

      Greetings

Yes it’s an editor and yes you can make new improvements on it. Be aware that it takes a bit to get used to. Also it is a tile viewer so you see some improvement activsion did not use.

        Have fun

Martin the Dane, you already made a *.til editor and a *.sfz reader.

Have you ever thought making a *.spr reader/creator? Something to convert image files to sprites.
That would a great help for modders and would increase the number of sprite artists.

Well I have, but since there is already a (not very user friendly) sprite generator available, I have never done anything about it. As for the reader, there is a workaround involving screencapture, and I gave up understanding the documentation for the generator.

I was thinking in a sprite creator that stands on its own.
Something that does not need to go over text files or photoshop.

Something like: You have the images. So just join all together directing these images and still see how its is going to look like before test in the game.
All without need to quit the program.

PS: For a moment i thought you left the community. Has been weeks since your last post.

I can't promise anything, but I'll se if I can find the time to look into it. At the moment I'm working something like 10-12 hours a day 5-6 days a week, building a house (a man's got'a make a living). This does not leave much spare time, and I seldom touch my computer, except for writing e-mails, wich also explaines the long absence.

                  I see.

And i hope you have time for this sprite creator . I am a big fan of your work. I'm sure that if you have time you are going to (again) help modders with their work

Anyway good to know you are still with us and good luck with the house .

Time to add a post to this thread: I found a little bug in TileEdit: If I want to switch from non In-Game Color mode to In-Game Color mode by using the hot key that is reffered to in the Colors Menue, I open with the short Cut Ctrl + M the Add tile improvement box instead of changing the color mode. So the key Ctrl + M is reffered twice but only used for the Tile improvement box.

Oops! guess I'm not infallible after all

Well I have fixed it, now the hot-key for changing color mode is [ctrl]+C

Furthermore this is now the official final relese, so unless somone comes up with the right and full explanation for the last block in the .til-file ther'll be no major updates. (I'll try to fix any bugs that is reported)

As usual you can download the newest version of TileEdit and the patch from my CTP-page
Note that the patch only works for build 21!

In that case, could you provide me with the info I need so I can add the file (as well as any other files you may have) to the file database here at Apolyton?

OK I'll mail you the details.

Good to know that something's finally happening about that database.

thanks for the info, the file is now in the database. That means that this file can now (finally!) be untopped...

OK I just updated the program, there was a bug that caused tile-cutout-values to dsiapear.

The new version (and a patch) can be downloaded from my TileEdit page

Another bug has been brought to my attention, but I have not been able to replicate it, and have thus not been able to locate and fix it.

The bug in questiuon is an error that comes up after a number of edits, requiring a save and reload. If anyone knows more about this error, please let me know.

                                A Request:
Can you make a possibility to add blocks of tiles from a tile file for another?
Ex. I wanted to have the tiles and rules from the CTP1 added in the apolyton tile file (have you seen it?) without having to add one by one.

                                -Thanks for any response
