Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition

Patch - Modswapper - then copy all Cradle files into the CTP2 folders with the same name.
The current files on Apolyton are the 'unoffical' release. I'm still tweaking the files, and right now I'm trying to see if I can get Maq's Culture victory setup as part of the mix.

So far I'm 200+ turns in, and I have double the points as the next AI - and based on what I figure, I should be able to keep the lead.
From what I can see, I am ahead because I am getting my points from the Wonders, and I'm guessing that the building setup will end up favoring the player.
One thing I may have to alter is to only have certain wonders give a culture boost.

Hey guys been playing this on Apolyton Edition with Modswapper. Recently I had a weird incident: my research got changed when the AI pillaged me and it happened twice. Of course I am stupid so I lost the save. I've left the debug on for a few turns and got some value out of bounds stuff so I turned it off.

Wow - and lol! I completely missed this! CoT saying hi and thanks to hex for carrying on with CTP2 and Craddle(probably my all time favourite mod for CTP).
I'm slightly confused about which link i should download from in this thread(1st, 2nd or 3rd?), or is it best to do to the mods directory for CTP2 and download this from there. CTP2 still gets a run out from time to time(although CivIV has taken over a little if i had to choose only 1 game to play of this genre), and is still set up on my old-games PC. I'm looking forward to giving this a go
On my 2nd game and finding the AI can put up a good fight! First game played on Very Hard and was beaten within 300 turns.Doing better on Hard level. You have to build up your forces and be ready to defend yourself.Once your behind and out numbered in units the AI is quick to to move in and capture your cities.More like a game of chess in some ways.On Hard level doing good and have kept my eye on diplomacy screen,if your going to end up in a war look for the civ that is fighting on many fronts. The AI is smart and most factions dont fight more than 2 wars at a time.

STATUS UPDATE
In the game I played, I maintained a 2x lead through 335 turns. At that point, I had overtaken the lead civ on the powergraph, so I ended the game.
I'm not sure how I can make it so the AI can stay competitive in culture, mainly because the player can make much more targeted building and wonder choices.

It appears all have the same link. Post #12 has the patch and Modswapper links if you need those too.

Make the buildings and wonders with culture, less appealing to the human. So give (higher) culture points for buildings with little or no other effects, that way the human will have to commit totally to a cultural victory and lose in other areas. And the AI that builds them will build them anyway. Probably best to have only 1 or 2 AI personalities as culture chasers though.

cheers Hex, i have Modswapper and some versions of the various CTP2 mods all setup from last time.....like from 5 years ago now, maybe more?!
I think the last mod i was testing had some kind of experimental Slic(by Peter Triggs?) to cause unrest and flip cities between players etc.....(the detail is lost in the haze of time!)
Anyway I plan of finding CTP2+Craddle 2 space in my gameing slot.....gods willing
