If using Cradle, I would suggest using Cradle 1.30b at my site, as this seems to be the most stable.
I would also suggest using the 'no raze' cities houserule.Yes, let's be optimistic until we have reason to be otherwise...No, let's be pessimistic until we are forced to do otherwise...Maybe, let's be balanced until we are convinced to do otherwise. -- DrSpike, Skanky Burns, Shogun Gunner

I vote for the SAP2 with the updater but I don't mind testing the Cradle, as everybody is saying this is a great mod I think it is actually a great one."Democracy is the worst form of government there is, except for all the others that have been tried." Sir Winston Churchill

EDIT: I should read my PM's before posting Gilg will be away for a week but he's still in, so we can stick him on the end of the order.
Oh yeah, thats right. Well i think its pretty obvious we're all easy for using Cradle so we can start and then drop Gilg at the end of the queue if he wants to join.
Player Order:
Maquiladora
EPW
Tamerlin
HuangShang
Gilgamensch (TBC)
Rules:
- turn per player: 20 turns for the first round, 15 for the second and third and 10 turns for every round after that (taken from last succession game)
- loose 3 day (72hrs) limit on passing turn on
- No Razing cities
- No Farms under cities (use goods more)
- No Right-Clicking
- Obviously no cheat menu
And here are my preferences:
Mod: Cradle 1.30b ("Cradle 1.3 Beta" option in modswapper)
Difficulty: Very Hard (5/6)
Barbarians: Raiders (3/4)
AI Civs: 7 (9 with us + Barbs)
Map: Gigantic Map (NOT ultra gig option)
Wet-Dry - 5
Warm-Cold - 5
Ocean-Land - 6
Island-Cont- 6
Uniform-Diverse - 6
Few-Many Goods - 7

On the subject of AI's, i think its becoming clear we use the Gigantic map. 8 is a good maximum on this map size IMO, also having just the right amount gives some of those AI civs plenty of room to expand into and become very strong, rather than bumping into another player too quickly. We could increase the map size to accomodate more room for more civs but we'd be playing until christmas
For oceans and islands, the AI is poor at cross water invasions and naval warfare in general, thats why i prefer just a little water to give us the extra option, but not too much ocean it cripples the AI's threat.Call to Power 2: Apolyton Edition - download the latest version (12th June 2011)

I am OK with the settings though I am a bit afraid of being crushed by the AI civs at such a high difficulty level. I have heard that The Cradle is very tough for the human player.

BTW Maq, Is "Right Clicking" a trick?
So if we go with a balance between mine and EPW's choices and everyone is fine with them, these will be the settings:
Mod: Cradle 1.30b ("Cradle 1.3 Beta" option in modswapper)
Difficulty: Very Hard (5/6)
Barbarians: Bandits (2/4)
AI Civs: 10 (12 with us + Barbs)
Map: Gigantic Doughnut Map (NOT ultra gig option)
Wet-Dry - 5
Warm-Cold - 5
Ocean-Land - 6
Island-Cont- 6
Uniform-Diverse - 5
Few-Many Goods - 7
Pollution ON
Bloodlust OFF
Civ: Aztecs
Ill start up the game and a new thread with my report and the save for EPW attached.Call to Power 2: Apolyton Edition - download the latest version (12th June 2011)
