I'm impressed that you actually use less formatting than my wwebsite (mine has headings... but then again yours has pictures). Don't let yourself get distracted by appearance, content is not only more important, as you say, but also more useful and more impressive (knowledge about playing CTP2 is considerably rarer than knowledge about writing HTML...).
But don't let me rant at you . Keep up the good work .

Yes, adding the bells and whistles can be tempting, but also a huge waste of time if you keep changing your mind.
I will continue to keep my site as "droll" as possible for now.Call to Power 2: Apolyton Edition - download the latest version (12th June 2011)

You said on the strategy site that Communism has better commerce than democracy. In the game it says democracy has a better commerce.
Am I wrong because I have always liked Communism over democracy because of production (pollution becomes a ***** though).
Corporate Republic is still the best .

Youre not wrong. However, they split commerce differently. You get alot more gold in Communism than Democracy, unless you lower the science tax in Democracy, so more gold is portioned, but it takes away from your scientists in cities. You can also max the sliders more easily in Communism because they have lower wage expectations. Ill change the wording to gold anyway.
Generally I prefer Democracy if all my cities have happiness buildings and tile improvements, also depends how quickly i need advances like Tanks, if not quick then i use Communism.Call to Power 2: Apolyton Edition - download the latest version (12th June 2011)

I prefer communism, because your people in democracy are so whiney if they are underfed, paid, and worked. I usually get more science under communism since I can pay my citizens less even though 20% less goes to research. I don't see how you can choose democracy over communism's production power, although dead tiles are a real pain until conservation .
My thoughts winning the game:
If you are planning to last until the genetic age stick to democracy until you get corporate republic, and then get technocracy to carve your own empire out of your neighbors cities, because you need to control 60% of the world to achieve science victory (Meaning that Conquest is necessary even in peaceful victories) which I am assuming is the only region you would stand such a long game to.
I still haven't won by a diplomatic victory if there is one, but in Civilization 3 it is to easy so I might have purposely skipped that part.
Call to Power 2 isn't really a game for builders since there are long periods of time where there are no more improvements to construct in your cities so an empire dedicated to peace will eventually have to train a military.

I think science victory is possible in MP, but how likely is it that one player TOTALLY controls 60% of the map long enough to build and defend all their obelisks? Not very!
Anyway the great thing is one government wont always be better than the other, when it comes to Communism and Democracy anyway. But i know you could easily get away with staying in peaceful governments all way through the game and still beat the AI, without building any tile imps and only having 10 citiesCall to Power 2: Apolyton Edition - download the latest version (12th June 2011)
