Game 1 sees me (with a massive river) and Toni starting in mainly plains and some hills and mountains for Toni, seeing us becoming the clear leaders. Cloud's tip for me to build Trading Posts en masse sees me pull in front of Toni in science, while Toni concentrates on farms and production capacity.
Barley gets down and dirty in the trees and Cloud99 feels the chill.
Toni and Barley surrender around the Knights stage, although Barley has a science lead it becomes clear his start location will not get better any time soon... 1-0

Game 2, this time Toni gets the good start, on plains and right below Clouds small island. Me and Barley both start in heavy grassland and forests, and thus our impact on the early game is small.
Toni finds Clouds island some turns before Cloud finally fills his island with cities, seeing him stuck at 17 cities under Republic.
I start ferrying settlers in coracles to the island above Clouds to gift some cities (probably shouldve gifted more), but its all too late, Toni takes another city with Pikemen/Mounted Archers after Cloud disbands another city, and makes it 1-1

Screenie of the final battle. The tile near Tonis loaded coracle was a city, Cloud disbanded so it couldnt be taken, then Toni went on to take Philae.

Its good that we took our revenge this game with Barley, i think he played very well, and was starting to build up a nice civ, shame on you guys, that you didn't so any action
You saw more action you mean I dont mind a quiet game, it always throws up a new challenge somewhere, like those dreaded grassland.
Cloud also told me he hadnt played for 6 months so i guess thats the reason he only got 17 cities on that island.
Your farms/fisheries spamming strategy is interesting, but we know it can be broken just like any other...

I know a couple of your strategies, but i see you place more importance on food and production now, is that a Maz influence?

Actually am not sure, our styles with Maz have similarities and differences, you know what they say if you want to be the best u have to learn from the best. But thats not the point Maq, instead of going into what players know and how their stategies can be broken, one well done for winning will have done the job Maq, usually people say this to the winninf team.
Geez, you guys build a lot of cities close to each other. I've never played multiplayer; when I play against the (modded) computer game, I try to space my cities out so that they can grow to be big. Is this ICS thing still the preferred strategy?
