Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
KDan,
I have slowed the time of the game :
at the beginning 1 turn = 5 years, so from 4000BC to 0 it takes 800 turns ...
I have also downed the science rate in the govern.txt file : divided by 100 (you have to modify each government ).
The only problem is to save enough gold for science (100 gold = 1 recherch) very hard at the start.
I didn't change the research handicap in the DiffDB.txt (I just learned it so I will experience).
I have found that in advance.txt who can change the cost of each advance, long no ?
Hope that will help you.

Hi Im new around.Im an old civ2 maniac from Greece
Diemar your story is exellent so please keep posting...
I only played a game in warlord that I found easy without using any slaves...
Diemar I would suggest that you gave an early save of your game, so that we can play it too and see how it goes...what do you think?
Well, i'm trying to steal some time to play games, but i'm always busy with homework from the university.
I have'nt played anything seriosly since i began at the uiversity.
But hopefully i'll get a vacation soon, which i can devote to ctp play'in.

Diemar,
When you get a change to play again, you should really try one of the mods which incorporates the AAIP (improved AI) files. This makes the game much more challenging.
Deimar, this is very intersting. I thought I knew how to play, until I read your story. You've given me lots of tips, and though I just registered for the forums, I've read this column for a long time, waiting for the next installement.
