Hey, what's more important here, school, or lives of millions of virtual citizens? Get your priorities straight. (hehe)

      We're still with ya!
Yes, let's be optimistic until we have reason to be otherwise...No, let's be pessimistic until we are forced to do otherwise...Maybe, let's be balanced until we are convinced to do otherwise. -- DrSpike, Skanky Burns, Shogun Gunner

              Hi Deimar,

I just got here and started reading the story. It's very interesting and I learning lots of new stuff.

              Please continue!

Anyone: I'm in the Diamond Age playing at the chieftain level. One of my competitors has been sending "infector" units. How do I get rid of them and cure the infected cities???

He He ghen, that's not nice!

For starters, you should make sure that you "can see em comeing"
Place lookouts, units who can see the infector, on strategic locations, on roads and such.

                        A undefeated Diety players story

                        Part four

                        All-out war

The attack on The Greek capitol of Athens was, despite successful, absolutely disastrous! The Greeks had obvious anticipated The attack, as this was The only city I could attack, not that it came as a surprise, but The amount of looses astounded me. I lost 3+ of my attacking size 9 armies to The Greek army on The walls of Athens. This effectively lead to a halt in my conquest of The Greeks as I dug in on The one tile now separating my nation and The Greeks. The war with The Greeks was reduced temporary to hit and run tactics while The wait for reinforcements to The Greek line initiated. I would dispatch half of The newly constructed units from this point in time to The Greek frontline, thus taking some of The upcoming momentum to The German campaign away, which were about to launch with 5 size 9 armies into The hearth of The German nation. The strategic situation with The Germans was allot better then The one with The Greeks. I was able to avoid The frontline city The Germans had close to my border. I sent more than half of my combined army around this city, penetrating deep into German territory, towards citys further behind, thus drawing defenders form The frontline city, and other citys to intercept these armies in order to prevent them from taking these less defended citys. The scattered German armies were easy prey, as my armies with minimal losses, slaughtered The German armies in The open on grassland. I almost head The spirit of The Germans crack, as The last of their notable armies was sent to rest on The grassland in The heart of their own nation. And with more units streaming continuously into The evermore decreasing German territory, I knew that The German nation soon would be a mere memory in The minds of my still growing German slave-population.

                        Gearing up yet again

As I discovered The technology of Gunpowder, I would now once again turn my attention towards The Greeks. I had 2 size 9 armies at The Greek border, which was making small advances into Greek territory, but I would wait awhile with a all-out attack, until I could cut their Pikemen down with musketeers.
Off cause I would make sure to be The one that was to build The emancipation act wonder, with all my slaves, that seemed as a very good idea! But that wasn’t worrying me very much, as I was The one, who were building all of The wonders at this time.

                        More to come...

Thanks everybody for your great positive response and for your patience The last month.
I’m afraid that I cant post as often as I used to, because of The amount of work I have in my study of computer-science and English at The University.
But I will be playing and posting when ever I have some spare time!
Of cause I’m able to answer questions to The story more frequently, than I’m able to post The continuation of The story.

                          Thanks again

                              As cool as usual :-)

I have one question though... are you playing with some sort of time-slowing mod...? I'm asking because I never ever have time to build so many units... I mean usually my whole army in the modern age is a few stacks that I casually drop near the ennemy's key cities to blitzkrieg them to death before making peace again for a while. Before modern age I just try to avoid war because I know I won't be able to build that many units :-)

                              Daniel

                                ENSLAAAVE!!

War means SLAVES!! Slaves equals production-enhancement!! War is GOOD!!
It‘s because you don’t take every opportunity you get to enslave your enemy (or your friends ), during The time frame in which this is possible (Emancipation act ), that you are experiencing problems with ancient and pre-modern warfare.
If you from 4000bc continuously enslave everything and everybody, keeping 1 slaver with every stack of military-units, even those defending your citys, then your citys will be almost twice The size of your neighbors in no time.
This fact combined with a rational choice of city-sites and The research effort aimed towards boosting production, should provide more than adequate production rates in your citys, within a reasonable time-frame.
THEN GO KICK SOME AI ASS!!

                                ENSLAAAAAAAAAAVVVE!!!!!

By The way…I NEVER use any mods!
