189 sent. Fortunately, RAM is cheap right now: 256mb DDR is like $25. That would be the minimum I need. For an extra $15 I could go with 512mb. Decisions! I may also have to upgrade my AMD 1.3ghz processor. Not sure yet.

I was lucky, last Christmas got in on a deal with the AMD 64 bit processor 3400+ with a GIG RAM and a Radeon X800PRO

190 sent. Thanks. You have a very nice PC indeed! I'm the sap who still thinks it's better to upgrade his current system, even though it costs more in the long run than just buying a new one. I'm a tinkerer, I guess. For example: I just spent $100 in hardware upgrades to get Civ4 working on my home PC. And I only did what was absolutely necessary: 256mb additional RAM and a newish video card. Doh!

191 sent. Yes, thanks, the newly upgraded PC seems to be working nicely. Civ4 looks great on it, thanks mostly to nVIDIA.
I see you are challenging me for the most biggest hugest mega-city in our little world. I gave you an opening when I sacrificed some POP for my final frontier expansion project.

So I bit the bullet and bought some airline tickets to Fort Lauderdale! We're taking a week vacation in Florida, beginning 2/20. Was rather costly, but it seems we are never able to take vacation during off-season. We'll be staying with cousins so at least we don't have to pay for hotels, which is a huge savings. I just have to be zen about it and not think about the money too much!
