Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
178 sent. Those are all good ideas, especially your "gold in swamps" concept. Personally I don't care for the "no piracy no pillaging" mod, but I can live with it. Also, if we're going to keep the Air Tranport unit, it needs to have some sort of build cost and maintenance cost.
How about increasing the length of the "modern" (ie WWII) era? I hate that Fighters become obsolete in like 5 turns.
As for general game interest, I propose the following:
Every 25 turns, assuming our civs are not at war, we exchange a Spreadsheet with some civ stats. That way it will be easy to keep a running record of our progress. Just a fun idea, so if it's too much work we can skip it. But I think it would add to our mutual enjoyment.

The reason I had this was mostly because you have this huge map, which I love and then you have all these cities and then when ya add the upkeep its just I felt this would be easiest way to keep what ya make to help support your civilization

Indeed, I need to look into this on how to implement that

I think its because we are discovering advances so fast
I could make it so the fightters or for that matter, any units dont become obsolete
Just throwing some ideas out
I actually have done a WW2 scenario, rough mind ya, but only units associated with that era, and they never become obsolete and they become enable with say Bronze working
