To be clear . . . I'll use your respective handles: dancemasseuse and horned frog.

Dancemasseuse: I rejected the the stop trespassing demand, but not with hostile intentions or anything. It just took my boats a long time to get where they are and I don't want to send them all the way home. I'm just exploring. I want to be able to see cities with goods to trade. In particular I'm looking for beavers to trade. But rubies and pearls are on my "hot items list". If I understand correctly, I need to see your city and you need to post a trade offer in order for me to pick up your goods, right? I understand if you don't want me prying around your coastline for strategic reasons, but how about we do a dance . . . you blockade me with your ships if you really don't want me looking around. And I'll try to sneak a peak at your coastline. My ships are empty, or loaded with a diplomat and there will be no piracy--just mapping out who is where.

to thehappies. I do not like anyone mapping me at all. I will resist this. I do consider it a provocation even if you warn me ahead of time. I do the same, but I also leave if someone tells me to. I know this mapping may not be used against me at this time, but at some point it will be used against me. after all this is still a war game. I also map and unless someone tells me to leave I continue. But I will leave as long as I am in their water, if I am in neutral water I will not. Please leave my coast. I should not have to tie up my ships keeping you away. in the real world mapping a coast is considered an act of war.

Now do nto get me wrong, I am not pissed or anything, this is just a game. but I do play for keeps, evil grin.

Well, apparently my apology to Troll for some things insulted him more than the actual situation I apologized for. I don't think he is going to change his mind now, as the "." post above probably was supposed to mean. So I already posted in the Recruitment Center that we need a substitute.
