it be mentioned though, that i am recently using the mono-english version of CTP, since Hatschy was so kind to visit this section of the galaxy and bring it to me from beyond the great nebula.

I play you in such a game but I will have to meet you first. Have you tested it before? I tried once to put a custom civ in a game I moderate when I first started it and had problems with it. I had little time and needed to start it so I didn't further investigate it.

im using custom civs for quite a while, usually for all the games that i start. i had some trouble with modifying the text files before and blamed them on other changes i made to the text files.
but the problems with the diplomacy screen appeared late and relatively sparse.
but maybe just few people cared to tell me...

yep, before that i used the german CTP version and imported only the english text files from Geoffrey P. Arnold, so the program wasnt 'pure english'.

i adopted the term 'mono-' something from the Magic (the Gathering) lingo, where it usually refers to 'mono-colored' decks.

So I guess the annoying localized messages that people usually get from players that run localized versions of CtP in PBEM will no longer apply to you

You could also call it adopted english or adapted english or pseudo-english version

Everyone should probably email pave and pacman to let them know what you think the status is. Send them the games you have started against them, and if they are supposed to start, send the email asking them to start.
