      Main Timeline

      (I may make the occasional minor edit and additions, without effecting the story)


      2221-Proginators enter Alpha Centauri and crash lands on Chiron after a space battle.

      2301-Combined forces of the Spartans, Pirates, Peacekeepers and Hive overrun the last Progenitor stronghold. Conqueror Marr interred in a punishment sphere. University instrumental in providing technological support to Human Alliance.

      2303-Morganites-Gaians-Believers are given back lands formerly liberated by Human armies.

      2336-Universty and Morgans become the first factions to colonize Nessus and Pholus.

      2354-Spartan and Hive forces attempt take over of Nessus mining operations.

      2355-Moon Accords are finalized allowing Spartan and Hive to mine small portion of Nessus.

      2379-University scientist field first prototype FTL drive.

      2380-A University's FTL prototype ship jumps to the edge of Sol, but returns to Alpha Centauri without discovering that Earth survived.

      2381-Improved version of FTL drive is completed. Data Angel probes steal design for first prototype drive. Information is spread across Chiron.

      2382-Spartans and Hive threaten war if all information on the new FTL is not released.

      2384-University is forced to release information but withholds vital specifications about the power requirements of the FTL Drive.

      2388-Peacekeepers attempt to get the factions to agree on equal shares of the FTL drive technology. Spartans and University refuse to cooperate with each other. The Hive-Spartan alliance crumbles and the two factions start small scale fighting. University is relieved of the Spartan Hive threat.

      2390-University, with Morgan financial backing, produced the first fully operational FTL ship.

      2399-Morgan and University begin production on Colony and Mining ships.

      2400-Spartans and Hive launch separate attacks on University territory. Peacekeepers intervene on behalf of the University.

      2401-Spartans launch first space attack on a University-Morgan space station. Two completed FTL ships are captured.

      2402-Ceasefire is declared and peace returns to Chiron. FTL treaty is signed.

      2406-Cyborg Scientists prefect first FTL Comm device. Information is shared to all factions but gets little fanfare initially. (Cyborgs will always seem to be able to communicate better than every other human faction.)

      2417-Morgans move their headquarters off of Chiron and become the first faction to leave Chiron. They retain a few assets on Chiron and Nessus, But majority of Morgan employees move with Headquarters.

      2420-University sets up their headquarters off world as well. Find out of the way planet to continue research. They maintain contact with Morganites and Peacekeepers.

      2424-Spartans join exodus off planet. They wonder for years to find the right planet to take.

      2428-Spartans land at Spartan Point on a planet they name Sparta.

        Cadre Weaponry:

        The standard equipment for Cadre ground troops is a suit of Plasma Steel armour with a Silksteel helmet which provides full life-support in space or underwater, plus an impact rifle. They also carry a bunch of plasma grenades, and a long Silksteel knife for close in work.

        The Trajan Armour suits are a whole different kettle of fish. The Cadre only has about 600 or so of them, since they take quite a while to make. Production has been increasing but is still slow. (I got the idea for these from the Protoss Zealot armour in Starcraft) They are built out of Silksteel and have an in-built power source to work all of its systems. It grants full life-support, and is linked by Neural Grafting to the wearer’s mind. Its prime weapon is a pair of gauntlets that contain a direct link to the power source, using a magnetic field and a lot of energy to turn air (or failing that a supply of hydrogen kept in the suit and pumped out when necessary) into plasma. When the blade strikes something the magnetic field warps slightly around the object of the blow, and the plasma is released into it. An alternative method of attack with it is to deactivate the magnetic field completely and use it as a kind of flamethrower.

          Terran Alliance Fleet

          GOVERNMENT: TAF is a Military Organization created by the Terran Alliance. It is lead by a Fleet Admiral chosen by the Terran Council. The Fleet Admiral is responsible to organize the entire Command Hierarchy, breaking off into various divisions.

          MILITARY: All of TAF is a military organization which is seperated into various divisions: Command, Fleet, Intelligence, Security, Research, Exploration, Logistics, Marines, Commandos, Engineers, Medics, Pilots and Psionics. The TAF's current Naval size is nearly 20 000, being the biggest military force in Human Space, but slightly behind in technology in comparison to the Chironians and so on. All personel general come from various Members militaries, but TAF does maintain a Military Academy on Earth and on Pluto.

          ECONOMY: Generally taken care of by the Logistics Division. TAF doesn't trade for profit and usually, the TAF doesn't give back anything in return except for continued Defence of an Alliance Member.

          TECHNOLOGY: TAF have its own Research Division so they do not depend on the Alliance members for technoligical support and to keep their own technologies to themselves. Most TAF technologies were provided by members of the Alliance, per the requirement of the TAF Charter.

          Belters - An Ally and protectorate under the Terran Alliance. There is mix relations with the Belters because they don't have a government, so the TAF as to deal with various seperate groups of Belters. Some Belters dislike the TAF while others welcome them. Partially Infiltrated

          InEn - An Ally and protectorate under the Terran Alliance. TAF do not trust them either because of their relations with the Coalition and being a political nuissance as well. Infiltrated

          Scions - An Ally and protectorate under the Terran Alliance. Scions is very quiet and generally keep to themselves within the Terran Alliance. TAF keeps an eye on the Scions, not because they do not trust them, but because the TAF doesn't trust the rest of the Alliance members like the Coalition and InEn. TAF currently maintains some agreements with the Scions concerning Biometal and so on, which the Scions preferably wish not having. No Infiltration.

          (All relations with factions and aliens outside of the Terran Alliance is generally taken care of by the Terran Alliance Diplomatic Corp, but TAF have seperate feelings.)

          Spartan Federation - Neutral, low contact, minor Infiltration

          Free Drone Republic - Neutral, minor trade agreemeets, medium Infiltration

          Morgan Interstellar - Enemy, unofficially at war, medium Infiltration

          University Commonwealth - Neutral, passive contact, minor trade agreements, minor Infiltration

          Peacekeepers - Friendly, various trade agreements, medium infiltrations

            Belters:

            The Belters — a loose collection of independent traders, prospectors, pirates, mercenaries, smugglers, miners, privateers and tc — share a common belief: that freedom from tyranny is the right of all humanity. Belters are a rough-hewn, unruly bunch of borderline anarchists, socialists and libertarians.

            Belters are in fact not a true political entity, they are a loose collection of political groups, colonies, mining communities, nomads and individuals who band together out of mutual interest. They also tend to attract many of the average undersirables from the other factions like smugglers, mercenaries, pirates, etc. Belters frequently unite to do battle with the other factions. The Belters dislike the other factions and consider all of them authoritarian entities out to crush individual liberty.

            The Belters do not have much military organization, but they do atleast have around 1 000 to 5 000 armed ships, mainly non-capitals. They also maintain range of space stations. In the past century, the Belters started to expand outside of Sol to the other TA controlled systems. They seem to be more interested in Asteroid fields and moons then planets.

            As for relations, they are generally disliked, but yet considered a member of the Terran Alliance, represented by a few belters in the Council. Belters do require to be watched.

              Power Armor: armored pressurize suits for infantry units, allowing them to fight in different environments, as well as providing good protection, mobility, built in nanomed pack, etc.... example, the Terran Marines in Starcraft, the armored infantry in the HALO pic, light power armored Pilots in Battlezone, the Starship Trooper: Roughneck Chronicles (not the movie, the 3d cartoon), etc....


              Battle Suits/Gears: those tall humanoid armor combat suits, like the ones in Heavy Gear, Gundam, Protomechs in battletech, Robotec, etc.... but average height of 8-10 metres.... they pretty much giant Infantry troops :P quite mobile for their height, and operates like a typical power armored humanoid infantry....
              Like to call them Gears :P

                TAF Infantry Units:

                Marines - Biometal Power Armoured infantry armed with either a Gauss Rifle or Pulse Rifle. May also have a Grenade Launcher, RPG Launcher, Missile Launcher, Fragmentation Grenades, Plasma-base Flamethrowers and so on as secondaries. They are the TAF's grunt soldiers and mainstay of the TAF Marine Corps.

                Medics - Biometal Power Armoured combat medics, armed only with a gun as defence usually. They are responsible in treating anyone that needs medical help, using their Medical Nanolath and various chemical stims. They can also use their Nanolath to seal some damage armor or etc, especially required in atmosphereless environments.......

                Engineers - Biometal Power Armoured combat engineers. They are like the medics, but responsible for repairs, maintening and contruct various hardware using their Nanolath. They are like the engineers of the US' Army of Engineer Corps.


                TAF Mobile Units:

                Sabre Battle Tank - Biometal Armoured Hovertank base on the ISDF Sabre. These tanks can have a variety of weapons base on the available hardpoints (Omnitanks ). A Sabre can have a single Cannon point(SP-Stab, Plasma, Missile Launcher, Gauss, heavy pulse, heavy Laser, etc), Two Gun points (pulse, impact, gatling laser, chain gun, mini missiles, etc), Mortar point (basic Mortar, Cluster, MPM, High Explosive, etc) and a single Drop/System Point (Proximinity Mine, Spider Mines, temporary energy defence field, shields, cloak, Blink Displacement, Jammers, etc)

                Broadsword Heavy Tank - Like the Sabre, but bigger and better armoured, yet slightly slower and less maneuverable. Sports an extra Cannon point.

                Siege Assault Tank - Like the Siege tank in Starcraft, but Biometal Armoured. It as two modes.... in Tank mode, it has two Heavy Cannon points on a single Turret, which is usually Plasma Cannons, and a smaller gun point turret on top of the bigger one. In Artillery mode, is as a single Heavy Shock Cannon with long range capabilities. This Shock Cannon can fire at slow moving crafts in the air.

                Jackal Hover Bike - usually only use to support infantry units, but these have two Mortar points for short range artillery strikes.

                Explorer Scouts - (Thunderbolts in BZ2) Use for Scouting out the enemy and targetting for the Artillery. Very fast, but not well armoured. As two gun points and single drop/system point.
                Also as a good Sensor equipment.

                ATR - All Terrain Rover, used by TAF marines for support and some troop mobility.

                Hover Transports - They are like Armoured Personel Carriers which generally moving infantry or equipment around. Also as a single gun turret placement for defence and support.

                MCV - Mobile Construction Vehicles is like a Former, but specifly geared to quickly build military buildings like bunkers, fix gun emplacements and etc.... as long there is enough resources. They are used by the Engineers.

                SCV - mainly ment for space, but use on the ground as well. Pretty much does the same kind of thing as the MCVs, but not use for the heavier contruction stuff. used by the Engineers.


                TAF Aerospace and Air Units:

                Strike Bomber - These use to be used in space, but replace by the Thunderbolts for bomber roles. These days, usually use for Planetary Warfare to bomb ground targets. Mixture of the ISDF Bomber in Bz2 and a Needlejet.

                Brawler Gunship - The Brawler is technicly a Gravship. Has two gun points and two missile arrays. These are use to support ground units and does have some simply SAM capabilities. these can be launch from and return to space. Mainly ment for ground warfare. Oh and they can carry single infantry Squad.

                Atlas Transport - Heavy Lifter that can carry a single ground vehicule like a Siege Tank. Hovertanks usually don't need them for crossing obtacles.

                Thunderbolts Fighter-Bomber - A Starfury fighter which as atmospheric capabilities and able to carry some anti-ship missiles (torpedoes) and bombs. They are also used as Air Support in ground warfare.

                Assault Shuttle - Assault Shuttles can carry a Platoon of Marines and a single ATR. AS are armed for defence and to be use as air support as well.

                Dropship - Like the ones in Starcraft, they are generally use to bring heavier ground units like hover tanks and gears. A Dropship is only by a single gun turret for defence.

                TAF Gear Units:

                TAF as just recently started to deploy Gears, so still haven't been use in combat yet. If these Gears are use right, it can revolutionize ground warfare, making Hovertanks and so on almost obsolete...which is what I am hoping...... During wargames, a single Gear Unit was capable to defeat several Hover Tank units, along various Marine units and so on. Gears are quite flexible as they can fight in various environments, including in open space, and have a various assortment of weaponry. The TAF Gear is base on the Mars Combine gears and the Coalition Gear prototypes (which hasn't went through mainly because a military these days is more space oriented), with a lot of improvements...Biometal armour for one. Currently, there is only three type of Gears.... Gear Units are more effective when there is a variety of Gear types.

                Battle Gear - The Main Gear use in general combat. Biometal armoured and have jump jets. Weaponry is base on infantry weapons, but at a larger scale. Some weapons can be attach to the Gear itself. So the weaponry will depend on the mission and the pilots preference, like a typical marine.

                Heavy Gear - more armoured then the Battle gear while being slower and less maneuverable. Can carry heavier weapons.

                Recon Gear - a light Gear with an higher agility and speed then the battle gear., but less armoured. Mainly use for reconnaisse and so on.

                  Missiles, torpedoes, mines and bombs

                  There is different types and sizes of missiles use for various form of targets. Here is a list of types:

                  Micro-Missiles - Mini missiles from the size of a Bullet to Cannon shells. Primarily use in Ground Combat. Also use in other ways like transquilizer darts, homing beacon and etc.

                  Small Missiles - Small missiles mainly use in Planetary Warfare or in Anti-Missile Defences on ships. They average from half a meter to 2 meters in length.

                  Medium Missiles - medium size missiles of about 2-5 meters long. There is various kinds of medium missiles, which generally don't have much difference. there is Air-to-Air, Anti-Fighter, Surface-to-Air, Air-to-Surface, Surface-to-Surface, Artillery Missile, etc There is various launching means, from simply Missile Launcher Bazooka to Missile Laucher Arrays on fighters, ground vehicules and ships.
                  There are various specialty missiles with various warheads... like for example a EMP Missile


                  Anti-Ship Missiles/Torpedoes - An Anti-Ship Msl and a Torpedoe is generally the same thing, just some militaries call them Torpedoes. they average around 10-15 meters in length and have the option of various forms of warheads like Fission, Fusion, Plasma, Antimatter, EMP, Cluster, Laser Head, and etc

                  Ship-Buster and Planet-Buster - Big bad missiles with the average length of 20 to 50 meters. Ship-Busters are mainly use in Orbital Defence Platforms and Planetary Surface-to-Space Missile Silos. Ship-Buster are usually able to take out entire Capital Ship, atleast causing a big hole., depending on the Warhead. University is known to be quite creative with these like their Xaos "Swordfish" Ship Buster missiles. Planet Busters are usually use for in Planetary Bombarments.


                  Bombs - Bombs are not very common in Space battles, but they are use for Planetary Bombarments or by fighters against various ground targets. Bombs do not cause as much damage as Planet-Busters.


                  Space Mines - there is various size and kinds of mines, with the option of various kind of warheads. They are not widely use in space do to lack of effectiveness in space, but University and others have invented new ways to use them.

                    Description: The Terran Battlecruiser is the most advance and powerful capital ship ever developed. Actually, the Battlecruiser is the Terran first joint effort to create, supplying the nescessary technologies or helping with the construction. Currently, the Battlecruisers are mainly built by Mars' Utopia Planitia Ship Yards and the TAF Ship Yards around Pluto, in Ross 153 and in Wolf 359. The BCs are the TAF's main Capital Ships with the ability to take over a world by itself. They even more effective in groups. Recently, they have proven themselves at the Battle for Capella. The TAF may of lost the system, but Battlecruisers was able to fight it longer then the average Chironian capital ship there. At one point, a Battlecruiser took about 13 direct Torpedoe hits along with additional Disruptor damage before being destroyed or when a Battlecruiser got kamikaze by a Chironian ship around Terra Nova and survived. Actually, there only a few Battlecruisers were actually completly destroyed. They sure can take a lot of beating and with additional improvements, the BC could be almost impossible to destroy.

                    Description: The TAF assault transport is use to bring in large amout of Ground Units from Marines to Gears to others. Also acts as a Carrier and Jumpship for Assault Shuttles, Dropships, Landing Pods, Brawler Gunships, etc. Assault Transport can also easily be modified to be Light Carriers or Colony Ships or Medical Ships as well. The ship looks like the ISDF Carrier in Battlezone 2, but with a Starcraft look to it. The Ship as landing capabilities, but they do not land on hostile worlds where they are vulnerable, so they simply launchs Assault Shuttles, Dropships and so on to bring down the ground forces instead.

                    Description: there is currently no Deep Water ships as it is still int he design stage. Deep Waters are ment to the Terran Alliance's Exploration Ship and Official Starship, so there would be alternative to the mean looking Battlecruiser warships when concerning diplomacy and deep space exploration. Deep Waters would also be able to construct buoys and do surveys of worlds. Think STartrek: TNG Galaxy-class explorers type roles. Deep Water looks like the Black Deep Water i the Black Deep Water sci-fi show which didn't last very long few years back.

                      Specifics and further notes:




                      Einstein class battleship: There are dozens of 20 meter ship-killer battle-turrets mounted on the superstructure, to deal major or crippling damage to capital ships. There are dozens upon dozens of smaller 5 meter diameter single cannon turrets among the battleship sides to fend off kamikazes and to add "pepper-fire" to put the big hurt on smaller capital ships. There are hundreds of anti-fighter batteries spread out between the 5m pepper cannons and the 20m ship-killer cannons. The anti-fighter cannons at both ends of the ship are 2 meter diameter, while the more numerous ones at the middle of the ship are 1 meter diameter. The turrets fire tachyon beams and engines are both in the center (FTL) and rear (Sublight). It has triple layered neutronium armor, as benefitting a heavily armed and armored ship.






                      Relativity class battleship: Similiar to Einstein in many aspects, however, it has three major differences. The Relativity class Ship-Killer cannons are 50 meters in diameter as opposed to the Einstein's 20 meter diameter ones. Relativity battleships have three yamato cannons, as opposed to Einstein's two. However, Relativity class battleships has far less defenses than the Einstein, by only having a two layer neutronium armor, and half the anti-fighter batteries as the Einstein class. The Relativity is known as the slobberknocker battleship of the University fleet, designed for mass destruction of capital ships while the Einstein is the "all-around" battleship with balanced offensive and defensive capabilities. The final difference is in the ship shape and design. The Relativity follows a roughly cylinderical shape while the Einstein follows an elongated tetrahedron shape.






                      Enterprise class War Carrier: The Enterprise class carrier incorporates the Einstein battleship design on a magnified scale, adding more Ship-Killer battle-turrets, as well as increased anti-fighter batteries. The carrier is capable of doing dual duty, carrier duty and warship duty. The carrier duty is serving as a base of operations for small fighter-craft and bombers. Enterprise class carriers are capable of doing capital ship duty by raining destruction on any enemy capital ship foolish enough to expect an easy kill or hopeful commanders who expect to get rid of the small fighter-crafts. It is also capable of engaging warships on the offensive.

                      The Enterprise class has triple layers of neutronium armor plating to ensure that its commanders are not lost in battle, as well as protection for its fighters within the landing bays. It is also equipped with modern tachyon weaponary, as well as Xaos missiles. It has dual Yamato cannons, one on the "left" and "right" sides of the ship, and the two supercannons play a major role in enabling the carrier-battleship hybrid to fend off eager enemies. A Enterprise War Carrier is a giant, measuring at over six kilometers long, currently being the largest human spacefaring warship known in the galaxy.

                      It was first tested on Janurary 27, 2661, and was reported to withstand several Yamato cannon shots before being crippled. This would put it as comparable to surviving TAF's ion cannons for a healthy duration. However, due to the extreme expenses to construct this ship, only seven are in service.






                      Enterprise-X Flagship: A heavily modified and converted Enterprise carrier. The UCSS Randius herself, was converted to a purely warship / flagship role after an extensive overhaul in June, 2692. It was decided that Provost Randius needed a flagship capable of dealing with any and all hostile situations. Therefore, the Enterprise designers replaced the carrier bays with backup systems and back-up of the back-up systems in a triple cycle, added two weapons reactors, added two more propulsion cores to enhance speed by three extra light-years over the standard Enterprise Carrier, and increased the number of turrets and gun emplacements by threefold. It has no fighters, has three Yamato cannons, and four layers of neutronium armor. Heavy emphasis was placed on defense, after all the death or harm of Provost Randius was not an option. It is Provost Randius's flagship, the pride of the University Fleet, and the UCSS Randius is and will be the only Enterprise-X ship in service.






                      Aristotle class carrier: Based on the Aegis class heavy cruiser design and superstructure. It is twice the size of the Aegis cruiser and has a 144 fighter / bomber holding capability. Standing at 3500 meters, it isn't as large or formidable as the Enterprises. It doesn't have the weaponary of the Enterprises, nor the heavy sensors of some Aegis variants. It only has two layers of Neutronium armor, as opposed to the triple layers of the Enterprises.






                      Aegis class heavy cruiser: Based on modern naval AEGIS cruiser in concept. Has several Xaos missle quad-launchers, as well as a single Yamato cannon on the ship's underside. The melee cannons are 10 meter diameter. Has multiple sensors, detection equipment for cloaked vessels, long range communications, surveying equipment, several bays for robotic units, and can be modified. It is a verstaile design, able to be modified for heavy battle, deep space exploration, a mini-carrier with fighters (10 fighters) latched on its sides, comm center to coordinate fleet operations, sniffers for hidden threats and prevent sneaky or surprise attacks, and so forth. The original un-modified versions has two layers of neutronium hull as a compromise between quick speeds and good protection. A third layer can be added for the heavy battle versions, and the scouters have only one layer.






                      Galileo class destroyer: The destroyer of the Post-Chironian Era. The melee cannons are 5 meters diameter. Engines are amidships and the rear. There are several anti-fighter batteries as well. Only has one layer of neutronium armor.






                      Darwin class destroyer: Pretty much the scouter of the Post-Chironian era. Same design as the Galileo class, but has much more sensors and radar. It has half the normal weaponary as the Galileo, to make room for sensors, surveying equipment, and detection equipment. It is mainly used to screen for cloaked vessels, sneak attacks, and space abnormalities that may engander the fleet. In addition, it surveys star systems and explores unknown space. It has sufficient weaponary and armor to defend aganist attacks from new and unknown forces.

                      UCS ground forces:

                      The UCS is gradually replacing its human armed forces with robotic units. This is done so to put human casaulties at a minimum, alleviate war weariness, cut down on human military wages, and attempts to save many families from losing sons and daughters in war-time should it arise. The discovery of Tachyon fields enabled UCS scientists to develop Teriton computers, capable of adapting to new situations, basically rudimentary artifical intelligence. (For a good reference, refer to SMAC's Pre-Sentient Algorithms). This enabled robots to adapt to enemy fire, changing terrain, and adjust weaponary to meet different situations. Research in Robotic Units is still ongoing, with constant refinements with the computers and experience with robotic units in combat.

                      Several Robotic units in use or in testing:

                      1. Jaguar: 2 legged chassis, has 2 cannons.

                      2. Phoenix: 2 legged heavy chassis, has 4 cannons and a missile launcher.

                      3. Arachne: 6 legged chassis, has 2 cannons, a heavy cannon, and a missile launcher. Used in rugged terrain like mountains or canyons. (somewhat like Protoss Dragoons from Starcraft)

                      4. Crow: AAA Robotic unit used to shoot down enemy aircraft.

                      5. War-Dog: Robotic unit that looks like a mechanized dog, has versatility, good speed, but can't take much damage. Comparable to Human Infantry units. Has 2 cannons.

                      6. War-Walker. Several variations. This is the ONLY Robotic Unit to use a human operator enclosed within. This idea is mostly based on MechWarrior series, and War-Walker from Civilization: Call to Power. Some variations have as few as 2 cannons, and the juggernauts have upwards of 6 cannons, 2 heavy cannons, 2 missile launchers, and some hovering abilities.



                      Human units cover a wide range from basic infantry to APC's and Hover-tanks. Infantry uses the standard Neutronium armor with anti-gravity built in to prevent the dense armor from crushing the person inside. APC's are units that has two sections that are joined together. It has three sets of triple wheels set in a triangle, one set at the front, one in the middle (where the two sections are joined), and one in the rear. It can go across almost any terrain, even underwater or through lava. The wheels are made of Neutronium, to withstand pressures and heat, and not having to worry about the problems of rubber. The Neutronium tires have anti-gravity devices built inside to help lighten the weight and make its weight comparable to rubber tires. The APC's can carry 64 marines, 32 in front and 32 in the back.

                      Other than these stated above, UCS follows most of the other Chironian factions with military units and specifications, but instead of Chironian advanced armor and weaponary, UCS uses Tachyon beams, Xaos missiles, and Neutronium armor instead.

                          PIRATES

                          Description:

                          Here is the ingredients of what makes the Pirates, using various references and so on: Belters like, Turanic Raiders like (Homeworld), Battletech Clan like system in a pirate Nietzsche Darwism style, diversity, bit of Orion Pirates from Startrek like, Klingon like and etc....

                          There are various of pirate clans about, and not all are into piracy. Each clan have their own way of survival, either force to by circumstances or simply preference. The Pirates evolve from the Nautilus Pirates and Data Angels on Chiron, so many of their people are true born pirates you can say while others are the undesirables, criminals, runaways, refugees, etc from other factions.

                          The Pirates are the master survivalists in BAC, as they don't seriously control any habitable world or an entire system to themselves. They are spread out all over the place in various outposts, stations, starbases, bases, wandering nomad ships and etc. Other factions have tried to eliminate the pirates, atleast a clan, but they never seem able to succeed in completly doing so, as the pirates simply comes back again few years later.

                          Not all of them have the stereotypical pirate ways of being cruel, barbaric, dishonorable, backstabbers and etc... some factions can be quite humane and honorable, despite their lifestyles.

                          Government and etc:

                          Technicly, there is no government. Each clan operate in their own ways and do their own thing. So the entire faction is not exactly organized and no factions can seriously blame the entire pirate faction for what one clan did. and there is no one to complain about it. Despite the individuality of each clan, they seem content in continue calling themselves as Pirates, being in the same faction. Despite the clans fighting among themselves at times, they cooperate together when they are in danger as a whole. another note, the more dominant a clan is, the more influence they have among the entire faction. Lately, Kane, leader of the Wolverines clan, is pushing for the creation of a Pirate EMpire base around that idea. The most dominant clan, which is not always solely base on size and strength, leads the faction. And then various lose "rules" about it. So far, Kane is quite successful and have the support of various clans, currently nicknamed the "Kane Bloc", and the various steps he is taking to make it happen. For the Pirate Empire to succeed, it as to be able to prove they a faction not to reckon with and for the Wolverines Clan to lead needs various things to guerantee it. Eventually, when they are ready, they will declare themselves the leading clan of the Faction and prove themselves by fighting all those that opposes.... if they succeed, then the Pirate Empire will be formed and clans must follow. If a clan later seeks the leadership, they must be able to prove themselves by defeating the current leading clan in someway. Of course, few clans can work together to gang up on the leading clan, but they will then have to fight among themselves as to who will take the leadership unless the agreed to who shall do so.

                          The Pirate Empire idea didn't originate from Kane, as it been around since the Nautilus Pirates split apart into various clans and spread throughout space. for the Pirate to survive and take seat among the Factions, they must unite, atleast cooperate together to one goal. Kane is just pursuing it for decade now after seeing that the Wolverines have the potential to make it happen.

                            List of some types of Pirate Clans:

                            Note: some types of clan can survive by doing their thing within the Faction... so the intereacte with other clans, not just independents/factions.

                            pirate (most common type of clan, which is like duh)

                            privateer (cross between pirate and mercenary where they commit piracy for others, mainly independents)

                            mercenary (mercenaries are hired more often by independent then by factions, so explains they are not very popular. )

                            raider (similar to pirate, but involves raiding worlds, pillage, killing and etc. not the most popular type, even among the Pirates)

                            neutral (not doing any piracy, keep to themselves and usually self-sufficient via trade, mining, diplomacy and so on. doesn't stop them to have a military and get into Pirate politics thought)

                            probe (focus into espionage and so on as way of survival. probe clans usually have a lot of Data Angels people)

                            miner (go around mining resources and trade it for stuff they need to survive. can be part of neutral, but there is some clans who survive by mining instead of other means and still being active within the facion)

                            explorer (currently one such clan, which mainly goes about exploring deep space, survey systems and worlds and etc, then trade the data for stuff they need. they also tend to have a mercenary streak by being hired to go scout a speficic system or peticular area to explore)

                            merchant (acquire stuff from various sources and then trade it with others while making some form profit, or simply aquire the stuff they need for survival. merchant clans not always into legitmate trade, which is hard too anyway being disliked because they are pirates and all, but into black market stuff like weapons, drugs, various resources, equipment, and etc)

                            smuggler (hired by various to smuggle something from one place to another without being caught with the most likely illegimate cargo)

                            mafia (clans who typically operate crime organizations at various systems and various worlds. commonly found within big factions like Morgan Interstellar, Peacekeepers, Free Drone Republic and so on.)

                            slaver (not the most popular while being a fairly new type within the Pirate faction. currently only one known slaver clan, but some other clans are starting to get into that. They mainly go raid some worlds, usually independents, where they capture people or even aliens and make them into slaves, and the sell them or whatever elsewhere. such clans is quite dislike by other clans, as they individualists after all)



                            List of some of the main Pirate clans:

                            Nautilus Pirates Clan - Lead by Eric Svensgaard, Ulrik's eldest child. The is one of the most dominant clans due to their influence, strength, resources and diplomacy while considered as a neutral clan. Despite the name, it is just another pirate clan who happens to be the most civilized and "clean" in the Faction. The clan is formed from those who decided to stay on Chiron or/and to stay under one banner. So explains of them controlling the Pirates old bases on Chiron, its ship yards around Chiron and other orginal Nautilus Pirate holdings in Alpha Centauri before the faction seperated into clans. Do to their location, they do have a lot of intereaction with the Peacekeepers and have official contact with other Factions, despite them knowing that they don't seriously control all of the pirate clans running about. The Nautilus do believe in the pirate empire idea since the seperation into clans, so explains their support to Kane and so being part of the 'Kane Bloc'. Another note, when a faction seeks in hiring mercenary clan and don't want to openly try to contact them via the public tachyon comm network, they usually contact the Nautilus directly as they seem to have contact with practicly all of the clans, due to their trading and so on.

                            Wolverines Clan - Lead by Kane. The clan is technicly the most dominant one in the faction in strength, size, technology, resources and influence. Currently leading the 'Kane Bloc', pursuing to establish the Pirate Empire and being its first leading clan. It all started after they came back from their temporary exodus far in deep space with various new technologies. They have the data they need on various technologies, but they still need to figure out how to apply it, which they have with some. There is rumours that the Fraal had something to do with this. Anyway, since they came back, they started becoming a nuissance for some factions as they being making various high risk attacks. One involving a raid on a Spartan protected Drone ship yard where they hijacked a almost finished Warlock Battlecruiser and various other hardware and data. The Wolverines are currently not well like due to their organized attacks and their heighten influence in the Pirate Faction.

                            Novans Clan - Lead by Joe Nova. The mercenary clan may be small, but they surely excel in Gear and small ships Combat. So they quite famous/infamous. Like other mercenary clans, it is rare for a major faction to hire them. They have been hired by independents and factions for various of missions from simple to high risk, along with odd ones like their Tau Ceti mission. While not known by factions, but they are part of the 'Kane Bloc' mainly due to some agreements with Kane.

                                History

                                The Dosi Federation is one of the older space faring races, having mastered their solar system 30,000 years ago. A Bitter Civil War destroyed much of the infasturcture, and the Dosi did not attain FTL Travel until 5,000 years ago.

                                The Dosi genag a policy of agrresive expansion, conquering the K'leri and Tosev systems. Today, both races are happy, contented subjects of the Federation.

                                The Dosi fought a bloody war with the enigmatic Hferhin Entire 1,000 years ago. At the close of the war, the Hferhin withdrew to the rim, and only now have begun to be sighted once more in the Orion Arm of the Galaxy. The Dosi spent to next several hundred years colonizing the top of the Galatic disc, jutting up to the nearly formed Bree and Gorn Empires.

                                In MY 2627, the remains of a Progenitor temple was discovered on the central continent of Barraka. Several Progenitor factions demanded to be allowed to visit Barraka and study the Temple. The Dosi refused, and tensions arose between the two races.

                                In MY 2638, the Dosi encountered the Protectorate ship Shadow. Intial trade agreemnets began, but petered out.

                                One of the greatest challenges the Dosi faced occured in 2689, when a Progenitor faction affliated with the Usurpers made a direct attack on the Barraka system. Much of the Dosi fleet was spread out over it's Empire, and the Emperor requested aid from the Protectorate, who was actually closer to Barraka than much of the Empire. The Protectorate Third Fleet was dispatched, and the Progenitor invasion was repeled. During the battle Protectorate vessels were heavily damaged, over 60% of the Capital ships were destroyed.

                                From this emergancy aid grew the first alliance of state between the Dosi and Humans. Technology transfer began, although the Dosi refused to sell Singularity engines and Energy shielding to the Protectorate. They did, however, sell them a greatly improved Matter/antimatter drive, which increased the FTL speed of Protectorate vessels greatly.

                                In 2691 the Dosi and Protecorate luanched a counterattack on the Progenitor world of Daltron. Using Particle Cannons and Mass Drivers, the alliance killed some 700 million Progenitors.

                                The Past ten years have seen a growing bond between the Protectorate and the Dosi. Now, as several Human factions jockey for position in the New Galaxy Order, the Dosi are prepared to support the Protectorate.
                                Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.
