And, I'm going to clean up that stargate mess you made by neutering the Goa'uld.

        Heh.

I was planning on having the Goa'uld have one last hurray before passing into extinction.

The Goa'uld, Asgard, Tokra, etc. were nearly wiped out by the Replicators before SG-1 was able to shut the Replicators down for good.

(This is fictional, and explains why no Goa'uld or Asgard or other Stargate factions interfered with Humanity for 700 years)

Then we could have P'tah try to defend himself aganist the UA assault. The Goa'uld will become extinct due to the UA's massive industrial base, much like Japan and the USA in world war 2.

The Goa'uld simply doesn't have the mass production and reproduction (organic) capabilities of the Humans. Hence they rely on Jaffa to forge their empires.

Soveriegn; Nope, I'm just trying to clean up the mess you started with mentioning "Stargate". The Go'aul are going to be a very minor player after Summit, and will probably never be seen again after that.

It's your fault! If you're going to incorporate other sci-fi, at least be obscure about it!

                  Heh.

I can't help it. When you consider its the 28th century, with Earth, Alpha Centauri, etc. you can't help but wonder where the Goa'uld and the Stargate stuff fits in.

Parallel Universe, I know. However, I started this plot because a few people mentioned or posted about stargates earlier on, before I even concieved the Goa'uld and annexing Earth.

So I figured, why not tie that in to the stargates found on Earth waaaay back in the 20 / 21st centuries? Makes sense, doesn't it?

So far I've eliminated the Asgard, Tollan, Tox, Tokra, and miscellanous non-human Stargate civ's in my post. Once the Goa'uld are gone, we don't have to worry about further Stargate references, other than the Stargates themselves.

Thus, it can and will open up possibilities for us to work with the Stargates, without worrying about the backstory or Stargate civ's becoming involved.

On another note.... expect a nice, wholesome surprise for you guys to read tomorrow morning!

And another one, this one within half an hour of the last one... that's got to be some kind of record, for me.

btw, just how big is a 'typical' BAC capital ship? My idea here was to have the object found be significantly larger than that, but with a large proportion of it's mass taken up with onboard factories, transport areas, and so on.

                            Tactius,

The size of capital ships vary.

Aliens tend to have 10+ kilometer ships, like the Bree and Progenitors.

For the humans, it can vary.

Some factions prefer to build smaller ships for strength in numbers. These kinds of ships would be anywhere between 500 meters to 1.5 kilometers.

Other factions like the Protectorate, University, and Terrans would build medium to big ships.

These ships would be anywhere from 1.5 kilometers to 6 kilometers. The University has only a few 9 kilometer ships, a brand new class of starship, the Titan. The Titan would be a class above Superdreadnought and Battle Carrier, like in MOO3. The University developed the Titan class with all the newest technologies and the new quantum power reactors.

So it breaks down to this...

Alien ship size = 10+ kilometers

                            Small human ships = 500 meters - 1.5 kilometers

                            Medium / Big human ships = 1.5 - 6 kilometers

Gigantic human ships = 9 kilometers (Titans only).

                            Hope this helps.

No! No G-ddamned Stargates! The Stargate network was going to have been disabled by a computer virus in the 21st century.

I cannot describe how freaking pissed I am with your last set of posts. Really, I'm ****ing enraged. I was going to kill the whole stargate fubar in a matter of two posts, with the Go'auld never to be seen again, and you go and pull this ****. I thought I had made it clear in my earlier post what I was going to do.

This is worse than that "Genesis Bull****", which you claimed was obscure...Christ, 3 freakin' ST movies pivoted on it.

                                I'm just amzingly pissed...
