akulla: i meant it makes it difficult to decide the vote on randomness since then its something like 2.2 vs 1.8 for randomness ... in any case, good that it has been decided
about stockpile energy: bintravkins arguments in this seem right. the early posts in the thread deliver arguments about NOT allowing stockpile after units favoring builders and those would have been my gut feeling and i nearly posted to quick that this thread only affirmed stockpile should be in. good thing i read all of it. you are right, it really might be a problem. i must admit i am a sucker for crawlers and drones +2 industry.(can't say if crawler madness even works in mp though, not enough experience) whatever, i'm not playing drones now and wasnt planning on a extreme builder game.
well. i will abide by any decision allow (which will obviously mean enforce), prevent or even just plain disallow (= allow automatic stockpile after building facilities)
considering this again, the last option might even be the best since it will still speed the game, and most typical builder strategies (mine at least) are helped even more with allowing it then with the "automatic allowed" option, so the imbalance is smaller with that one
maybe the terms "builder" and "momentum" break down here... it probably also helps a yang who uses crawlers extensively together with mild ics, then produces cheap units. i don't consider that a builder strategy at all
this is really hard. which is why i will just leave it up to you guys. ultimately i'll just have to adapt... luckily i chose the pk
