    Even TCP/IP!

    I cannot TCP/IP since I never have an hour that I can schedule as my own time but a PBEM could be ok if it has 3-4players.

      So we need an idea for some theme, another player, a map and maybe a CMN...

        i'd play in a 4 player game, but not a 3 player one. i think. also, this would be my first smac/x-pbem since 2001. thus, i hope you can bear with some incompetence :-)

          I can play in another PBEM if you need a 4th player. I'd prefer SMAniaC but can do normal if you all prefer that.

            ok, so only one player left...

            What do you think of a vanilla transcend smacx random map with all settings on average and size 52 * 104 with 3 AI ?

              I'll play anything as long as everyone can usually get the turn out within a day of receipt

                no problem. i was even hoping for a turn a day most of the time. since i don't know any of the recent(?) mods, which includes smaniac, i'd rather play vanilla (meaning smax 2.0 rather than 1.0 though, i suppose?)

                    SMAX 2.0 is fine. I'd like Gaians or CyCon I think. Can do a turn a day, might be a bit slower next week as I will be building my new computer on the table my laptop sits on, and will most likely manage to loose my laptop under a pile of things, but by next wed should have everything sorted again.
                    We could even do the turn order depending on when people can play, so we get the turns done quicker. I am usually around from 3pm to 1 am GMT.

                      i am gmt+1 and can play turns just about anytime from 8am to midnight, at least i expect that to be true for the next few months... evenings MIGHT be best, but it mostly depends on when i'll usually receive turns for the civ4 pbems i'm in, cause, basically, right now i'm free to plan my day's work around that

                      next week i might be a bit slow as well, but turning in 24h notice of receipt will not be a problem

                      i could also play drones if someone else wants the pk

                        I am on Mountain Time ( ie Denver) Think New York City minus two hours. So thats what . . . GMT minus 7

                        On weekdays I play either between 6 and 7 am local (so early afternoon in Europe) or after 8pm and usually before midnight ( so the wee hours in Europe)-- With two main playtimes , I usually get the turn out in 12 hours .

                        In gerneral it usually works best with a turn order that follows the sun as it were but if there are some real night owls in eastern North America, its best for them to play after me.

                        Weekends its a crapshoot.

                          but since 3 of us live in europe while one lives in western america, i guess it will probably be one turn a day with any order

                          EDIT: posted this to late

                            Actually getting through 4 players ONCE per day is generally pretty good. I have hit instances where all 4 players were online at the same time and 5 turns each whipped around in the course of a couple of hours but that is rare.

                              I'm sure to be available (GMT+1) 6->8 and 18->22 on week and probably 8->24 on week-end EXCEPT one week-end in two but i think i'll just ask someone to skip my turn then...

                              So the best layout I think is: GMT+1 / GMT+1 Name (Your Time)
                              4->8 / 16->17? Flubber (20->00) / 8->9?)
                              6->8 / 17->Y Me
                              8->X / Y->Z SebP
                              16->17 / Z->02 Humphrey (Z-1->01)

                              We "might" do 2 turns per day if Humphrey can sometimes do his turn a bit sooner or Flubber a bit later...
