This may be premature but I should be in position to destroy or capture both of hercules bases next turn. I used probe actions and genetic plagues on his southernmost base so it no longer has an aerocomplex and all defenders are damaged at least 70% and I have something like a dozen military units in range to take the base

The northern base is also relatively easy to take and frankly if conventional attack is unsuccessful, I will nuke it just to get herc out of the game.

I propose that I leave one defender alive in one of herc's bases so he can attend to eliminating his empire on that turn. This is a slight variation from actual emptying the base but frankly I don't want to wait the extra two weeks to two months that having hercules playing for two more turns (one to rush a scout and another to obliterate the base)would entail.

Any objections? My confidence in my ability to carry this out is VERY high

Ouch--genetic plagues? Not nice! Don't think I've ever used those myself. Just doesn't seem right.

I have no objections, it should be clear to Herc that he was in a position to be taken. Guess I better stock my hospitals with plenty of anti-virals!

I had never used them before either and I wanted to find out what they actually did .... they seem to damage every unit in his base. Once I had sabatoged the aerocomplex I really had no other use for my probeteams given your hunter seeker.

It will be crystal clear--- As I say, I will nuke his northern base if his defenders defy all the math and his southern base has no chance at all. I will do it the "regular way" if herc would provide hobbes with his password-- Then things can be done "as usual" without the big delays.

One way or another , the turn I sent last night is the last one that Herc will have any real play in.
