Indeed. Of the new settings I find anthro and empath most interesting, along with Private Economies (i.e. ECON bonus offset by industry hit).
Two things with Spartans: They can benefit greatly from Junta+Anthro. OTOH, any private economy is a suicide production-wise. Almost as if setting stockpile everywhere...

Huh, no, that's all a couple turns ago. This turn I wanted to bombard your mineral bonus tile near the Pines (to be renamed The Pains should I capture the base in one piece) but instead a duel with the ship in the tile next to the bombarding ship started...

That's what I noticed in the middle of the game. But by then I traded in some many different techs that even b-lining would take me to that one in 100 turns. It's either me or your tech tree doesn't make beelines so obvious.
