"Hmm, definitely something different this time... So, have you been able to find its purpose there?"
"Yes, Your Excellency. We believe that this device is responsible for the unusual annual rainfall"
"We seem to be very lucky! This for sure will bring more food. Looks like someone cares for us here."

I am puzzled to, but I guess Mart got some bonus or something, plus this condenser, plus his Brother Rufus, if I was feeling more newbie I'd start to complain that something is unclear here..

The only thing I was lucky here was good for me unity pod popups. The rest was either my experience/playstyle or hand of the Creator/Senethro, who knows very well on what kind of terrain he placed my faction. Condenser probably has nothing to do here so far...
On unity pod popups, I have no idea what is setup on the map, as this may be manipulated in scenario, though I do not think you made many (if at all any) changes there? After having several of them I cannot still say anything more here.
And well, while you had 10 more turns for getting more techs I concentrated on growth. You rather tell me how it is possible after 16 turns of play where there was start with 3 colony pods to have only population of 4?

No worries, happens to veterans too when they count which base is the closest to pod wrong..
The advise is to write down a list of things todo for each turn and slowly go through them one by one. After some time you wont need the list anymore as you will be used to it.
The first item of my list is 'pop pods' including calculating the closest base and setting it's production to something expensive and useful.
