  • "Who are the furlings?" - Turn Tracking.

CLAIMED IN THE NAME OF SENETHRO!!!!1111ONE

    Yes indeed.

I have PMed you your passwords.

The turn order as I remember it was.

    Maia yahoo.com@smoke_henke_kelner
    PJayTycy gmail.com@pieterjan.busschaert
    Detrius yahoo.com@ajelovic2
    Bearhugger hotmail.com@jensjendricke

Some of those email providers are noted as being less than reliable with some file attachements. Shout if you want an invitation to Gmail.

Turn attached. Maia to play. Further editing later.
I hope you're all patched and clear on the rules. If any of you want to practice in a PBEM environment I can throw the tutorial I made your way.

      1st-step out...'weird'

Nice job Senethro I always wondered what the inside of the Aki-Zetas sugar walls were like. heh

      So we are SMACX.

Did I do right by NOT pressing the 'turn complete' button?

Anyway, I liked your introduction. Though their maybe some copyright questions down the road. heh-heh

I sent you an invitation. You can send me the turns to that email adress instead of posting them here Maia, I'll notice it earlier.

You do have to hit "end turn". A popup will come that asks my pwd and has a button "save & exit". Choose save & exit. When you don't "end turn", it's still your turn, and I can't play.

Oh, and rename the game to something like "furlings-next player-year" orso when you save (and zip it ).

Are the email addresses in the wrong order? Shouldn't it be the individual's name, followed by the @ sign, followed by the server name instead of the reverse order?

Congratulations Detrius, you spotted my ever so elegant deliberate mistake.

Did you know that this is what marks the difference between your wonderful biology and the binary limited perception of a machine or piece of code?

There are those out there who would steal and pilfer your email address for their own ends. It would not be profitable for them to manually search the internet for your address so they use various software to collect all things that resemble an email address.

Few people want the privacy of their inbox invaded and so it is standard practice to disguise email addresses.

You can see that the email address is swapped around the @, but Mr. Script K1|>|>13s l33t apz cannot. Safety while hiding in plain sight.

                    just a status report:

maia has sent me 3 files yet, but they were always still maia's turn, so I couldn't continue.

Still waiting to receive the next try.

                      check-in

                      Sorry PJay,

If I knew what was wrong I'd tell ya.
The first time, I didn't hit my "turn complete" button. I saved & exited through the way I am used to: teh control panel- bottom left.
That was no good. I found your help in the forum and deduced this.
I loaded it back into my save file and re-opened. None of my moves had registered. I made my moves as best as I could recall, again. This time I hit the turn complete button and the "save & exit" prompt came up. I pressed the "save & exit" button and imagined it was good enough to be emailed to you as an attachment.
This is what I did. I hopoe it helps you but mostly Senethro as he is our Watcher in this "Who are the Furlings?" planetscape.
USe my email whenever you please and thanx for the gmail invite.
                      I am gmail.com@jwpeek but use my yahoo.com@smoke_henke_kelner.
I don't think you would have appreciated my gitmogag@gmail addy so I just calmed down a little.

                      much love to my peeps,
                      maia

                        PJay,

8th post from the bottom is Senethros Tutorial

The rest of the thread is informative except for the big chunks of dialogue where Senethro and I are gabbing.

Maia, the problem is you sent me your first file 3 times. All files were completely identical.

So, while you did play the turn again, you somehow sent me your first save again.

You can easily check this, before you send the file, try to open it yourself. If it doesn't ask for my password, it's the wrong file.

btw: you might have noticed I answered one of your questions in Senethro's tutorial thread...

I opened the file that Maia attached to that post and found it to be Maia's first turn with no units moved or settings changed.

Anyways, just thought I'd say that I won't be back until Sunday. It's a long weekend here in Canada so I'm going to hang out with friends.
