  • Geo, head up! Glad you liked my narrative Yours was just perfect, it will blend in what I had in store for Enid at the Spot

    MY 2135.0805
Outside the Spot at a section of the Ruins

“Surreal, eh, Princess?” a tall figure stepped beside the slender feminine figure standing atop a ridge overlooking the rolling plains of pink xenofungal carpet, a line of ancient alien obelisks snaking across the plains up the ridge then again down and across the plains. Far on their right, they can barely see the glittering of Data Angels’ third base, The Spot.

“Yes, Datatech, it is. Very mysterious,” Enid acknowledged.

Aeolus glanced toward the princess, observing her taking in the sight for the first time. It has been two years since he returned from his private visit to the Kingdom. Smiling inwardly, he recall all the hard times Enid put them through. Her temper tantrums and insistence on rituals unfamiliar to them. However she could be very charming should she find it in her to be. Her intelligence, ah, her instructors impressed from the first day. By the time Aeolus returned home, the Princess already had a script set up and running that solved the cube’s riddle in 20 moves. How can he forget that one time how she tried to hack into the Planetfall’s datalink system. It appear that the precautionary measure of setting up a small duplicated version of a series of dummy intranets linked to each other in which itself were physically disconnected from the true internet web was a prudent one.

Aeolus does not know how the Kingdom plan to pick their successors should something happen to the Queen. However, they would be hard-pressed to find a better candidate other than Enid. If she was to mature a bit and gain more experience, she have the potential to become a formidable ruler for her people. The princess already have the inner strength that only the Planet-born have and it will serve her very well.

“Princess, do you remember the gift I gave you on the first day we met?”

“Rubik’s Cube? How can I forget?”

“Tell me, what the Cube taught you.”

After a moment of silence, the princess spoke, “There is no true chaos, and there is order even in what is perceived to be chaos.”

“What a bold statement!” Only if Geo and Gwynn were here, Aeolus thought to himself. “Can you clarify this some more?”

“With a computer program, there is input which interacts with scripted processes which results in an output. The discoveries we have made along into the human mind and life in general has indicated that on the most basic level, that is what we do – we process inputs from outside stimulus and return outputs. Coupled this with proofs that we can predict chaotic events via mathematics, it would be logical that everything in nature has order underlying them which can be manipulated once we understand the ultimate script so to speak. We don’t have the knowledge and ability yet but there is no reason that we cannot achieve the level of knowledge necessary to do so someday.”

“Well said. What does this mean for those?” Aeolus gestured toward alien obelisks.

The princess looked up at him silently. Chuckling, Aeolus said “Your parents have shown me the seafungal mass in the Dùlaman Sea. What if the fungus here and the one in Dùlaman Sea are sentient somehow? Just like a hive of Earth ants or bees. It has been suggested that in the human body, individual cells are not sentient but when you link them all together, some how a form of sentience emerge which we call the soul. What if it is the same with the xenofungus?

“Take those obelisks, they emanate some kind of energy we cannot gauge yet but we can utilize. When our troops come nearby, somehow they feel revitalized and more courageous. Mindworms seem to be attracted to those ruins. As you know, there are many scattered all across the Planet’s surface yet this is the only location we know of in which those structures are built along the geometrical lines.

“Princess, suppose there is some form of sentience behind the xenofungus, would it be too far-fetched to speculate that those structures were an attempt by some ancient civilization to manipulate the ‘script’ of the said sentience?”

We have global peace--but tensions seem to be strong between Chairman Yang and Brother Lal!

New Atlantis, the Garden Palace, MY 2136.0805

Gwynn stood for an outer viewscreen. Wonderous panoramas were to be seen outside her stateroom, but nothing of it caught her attention.
For the best 35 years of her life she gave all her compassion and skills to the Atlantean people, only to be considered redundant by a large part of the new generation. Unrest was avoided for now, but how long before even her token leadership would be questioned? Off course people should decide for themself, and choose their leaders, but what was wrong with the way she ruled the Kingdom? She, with the help of the council, had nurtured Atlantis to be the supreme faction of Chiron after all.
Too bad that in this dire time her family was away. Geo on a mission, and Enid still studying in Aeolus' network nodes.
Luckily we will be reunited again next year...

The Kingdom of Atlantis proudly announces the construction of
Chiron's first Secret Project, namely the Weather Paradigm.
Terraforming times have already decreased and new ways of
                            shaping the land are investigated.

In future it is the Kingdoms hope that other factions will see
the benefits that this can bring to themself and consider the
services the Kingdom can provide in their terraforming
operations after a proper agreement is reached.
