The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.
25 themes/skins/styles are now available to members. Check the select drop-down at the bottom-left of each page.
Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I think if you scroll up and look at the actual pawkul hat I posted a picture of, well, my last try with the wider, rounder band is closer to what Darsnan was asking for.
I like the middle one most. It's very well done in my opinion, definitely no need to worry. The third is nearly as good, just forget about the first as the cap is too big.
I wish I could leave her hair darker, but that’s incompatible with having the dreadlocks look like dreadlocks. I might oughtta change the background, but cutting figures out to change backgrounds is a tedious pain. So my thinking is this: the Rainbow Warriors, like the Greenpeace boat they’re named after, are (semi?) aquatic.
Or, the oceans are part of Planet, too, and we just ignore it. It can be implemented any way the end-user desires, after all. Not planning to change the background…
He knows by now... I have a lot of trouble with being patient with people who have lives.
Re: Background of Cathy. It could be an outside shot for a land-based faction (there are lakes, i.e. freshwater seas).
Exactly.
I love feedback, but I wanted to head off casual background-change suggestions from people who haven't any idea how many hours it'll eat up- if the portrait doesn't need it all that badly.
...Although, come to think of it, I could select the dark blues of the water and turn them into browns and fungus colors if I needed to- that might take as little as a half-hour.

Maybe he missed the part in your first post of the CFC thread that you are awaiting comments from him and another gentleman before you add scan lines and drop it into the .pcx.
I consider a seaside background to be neutral for most faction leaders. After all, wouldn't most of them have a seaside villa regardless of their ideology?
I mentioned it specifically in a PM reply over there today.
I wanna publicly apologize to Maniac, BTW, for the "less sprout-y" crack on the last page. Not realising he was Belgian or something doesn't excuse anything, but I wouldn't have been so rude.

In reference to your CFC post, I think a chess theme would be nice.
The "strategist" faction could emphasize efficiency (inherent efficiency plus impunity to negative efficiency at the cost of "brute" force such as industry, growth, support).
Base graphics as towers that resemble rooks would be nice. (Am I correct that base graphics have different icons for different size bases? If so, how about small bases look like pawns, intermediate bases look like rooks and large bases look like queens?)

You are correct. Four of them, and four more apiece for both sorts of shields, and another three rows for water bases.
...I thought about that. I wish there was a way to make the graphic different for the headquarters base- than it could grow to King, and the rest would grow to queens...
But my feeling is that doing other pieces as bases would look dumb, or at least make it too much about the chess. The heart of the idea, again, isn't the chess, it's Picard saying of the Romulans "It's always a chess game with them." An intense-looking leader, Latin-American, I think, and the gamesmanship that always comes along with any dealing with the faction.
...Also, we have to cosider the limitations of my ability to draw bases from scratch. Four sizes of Rook I'm sure I can pull off.
I love your ideas about bonuses and minuses. I'm coming at it as a writer/artist, not a programmer sort. If I have to make the text file myself, it won't be that good a faction, playablility-wise.
I would find it in my heart to forgive you if you were to post about this there, too, BTW. (Only YOU can help my graphic attention-whoring...)
