    Clearly there is no demand for the project.. so am going to let it die. If anyone wants to take the mantle then the sourceforge has the latest version....

    I will close off the google svn in a few weeks.

      And I think there is a demand for the project. It's just that noone is willing to get it done...

        Could you put 212 on google I took off Subversion long time ago. The one on G says 211 but in the change log 212 is mentioned.

        Although I cant improve on it I will hold what has been done so far.

              Maybe go less ambitious first? I think getting a mostly aesthetic conversion and changing the easy aspects of the gameplay mechanics would be the best thing to do first, then get the true imitation going.

                That's too bad. I actually had a hankering for SMAC this week.... Sorry that this doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

                Probably was too ambitious to try to recreate the entire game, esp. for people who are working for free.

                I do miss the blind research option! And the "Faction Eradicated" announcement....

                            I logged in after a long hiatus to say that I'm interested as well. You might want to post information about the project on the fanatics site(hopefully I don't get into trouble for mentioning that...).
