I assume SMAC also includes playing the expansion and mods.

Still visit, but haven't played for six months or so.

I probably haven't played for that long, but I've had longer idle periods than that.

I play every two or three months, usually just a single game.

Couldn't vote in the poll, so add one to still play SMAC SP, and one to still visit here.

I don't do SMAC all that much (2 games about a week ago - one 1 city challenge (won by trans) followed by a 5 city challenge (same result but finished much sooner)). I hadn't played for about 2 months before that.

I have not played SMAX for a few months because the CD on the old computer that was able to run it finally wore out and the new computer is a non-SMAX-running XP.

I'll either have to get the new computer to run SMAX or put the SMAX (and backup copy of SMAX - I bought 2 copies of the Laptop collection a couple of years ago) on e-bay.

I guess I still play SMAC from time to time. I guess after I log off soon I'll start a new game. I'm thinking - Gaian ICS on mostly land, huge, wet, weak erosion, abundant native, planet. Probably will take a lot of micro management, but will probably finish quickly.

I've just returned to the forums after some time away due to serious illness, but I was playing SMAX solo all the while (and enjoying the occasional ).

                    Done.

The same for me. Although I more visit the forums than play. I usually play a game every couple of weeks.

When I voted earlier, I really didn't have time to post a proper response. Unsurprisingly, I still play SP SMAC. I've been distracted by Civ 3 for the past few weeks, but I anticipate playing SMAC for some time to come.

Just curious , but how could anyone NOT vote that they "visit this forum"--?

I still play actively and visit the forum as much as I can. I pop in almost every day

Carelessness. I only voted playing SMAC SP. I thought you could only choose one.

I still visit this forum but I no longer play SMAC.

I did try to play it a little while ago, but things like non-stackable workers (formers) and all those "are you sure" dialogs... just get to be too much.

What do you mean with non-stackable formers ???? You can stack as many formers you want and let them make improvements together.

And the "are you sure" sounds more like civ than smac.

I've just fired up my good old SMAX disc this weekend and I'm actually glad that I'm asked wether I really want to destroy a base when I press B instead of F for arty firing
