Jamski is an excellent Smac/x player and he learnt a lot (like Snowflake), I think, under Kody's influence during the ACDG2 days, (where Kody would monitor key player posting records and make deductions about what was happening diplomacy wise- how scary is that?). So I regard Jamski as a Smacer Ok.

But Jamski is also a massive, thoughtful and entertaining contributor to other forums. at 'Poly , hence my vote.

Lastly, when the SMAC/X forums are slow, people are on holidays etc and even though you are in 20 Pbems, nothing has been sent to you for days, then it is good to visit the Other Games forum for some diversion.

The hot game at the moment is 'Galactic Overlord' - a game based on the rock, paper, scissors game, but taken to new levels.
It was Smileys' graphics and commentry that raised this to new levels.

But also keep Flubber in the running. Over time Flubber's nuggets ,when added up, amount to a nice little volume of tips for both Sp and Mp players.

        hercules--

On Tau ceti -- I voted for him the last two or three times to get his name in there. I think his long term running and CMNing the poly SMAC tourney was worthy of recognition.(I think we played in a few games he ran ) But he wasn't getting enough other votes and as time passes he will be less remembered so I made a practical choice to switch my vote. I will probably vote for Tau ceti again in a later election-- if only to give recognition to a major SMAC contributor once more-- But I know he won't make the hall so thats about all I can do.

I don't want my earlier comments to be taken wrong. the people you named have all contributed and vote for any of them . All I was sayng is that I wouldn't vote for soemone solely because they would be zeroed otherwise.

as for Flubber -- , I don't deserve to be in the Hall. You named half a dozen folks at least that have made a bigger SMAC contribution than me and who are more active elsewhere. I just babble

Some of people that need sustaining made huge contributions but since they are no longer active on forums as before they are sliding to abyss.

I'll be glad to vote for Kody or Chaos Theory to preserve their votes. I am certain that they deserve it. They made huge contributions to SMAC forums.

EDIT: Perhaps we should do a mini SMAC Hall of Fame?

Heah, there are sure many people who deserve to be in HoF, but we can't vote them all in at once.
We did vote in Googlie, we will vote in Darsnan and then we can vote in someone else.

There are lot's of candidates, but the upper hand would probably be gained by the active ones like Chaos Theory for example.

I find myself in situation where I know for sure 2 persons for whom to vote but the third slot is free (I mean, not that there aren't people to vote for and who deserve it, but I just can't decide), so I take up some third one who's worthy to keep him on the list for later election.

PS Hi Guys..... Archaic, Maniac, GeoMod, Illy, Herc....
                          Hi MrWhereItsAt

And now, vote by vote analysis of votes gained by SMACers in August 2005 Hall of Fame elections.

I've sent a PM to Darkcloud. There seem to be some inconsistencies - total votes this round don't match the ones I got by summing the votes listed in Who voted for whom list.

EDIT: No, I am right in some accounts, there are mismatches of votes total received. I have bolded the errors I noticed.

Also, you mispelled Comraede Tassadar, JAmski and Iluminatus.

Numbers in bracketts represent total votes received this round according to ranking list, while sums of individual votes show real total votes received this round based on checking the Who voted for whom list.
