The same thing is happening over at CivFanatics, so this isn't Apolyton related I would say.You Learn Something New Every Day!

I've not had the constant "server is busy" errors on Civfantatics(not that i go there often, but check quickly once a day for any updates to the CivIV mod FFH), that i get at apolyton whenever i check in later in the afternoon. Basicaly if i want to post or view the site i have to do it before 2pm(ish) GMT. The afternoon or evening and it's rare that i can get to it.
I did check the amount of people figures a number of times that i had managed to get on during one of the 'server is busy' episodes, and it seems that a hundred or so more people online is what may be part of the problem(so from a morning session of around 150 people to an afternoon of maybe 250 people might be part of why we get the 'server is busy' message?).
But i'm sure it's more technical than that. But yeah very annoying from a user point of view, and i'm sure it isn't helping more people to want to come and hang around here.

I have never had "the server is busy" nor have I had any double post issues.I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

"Server is busy" have absolutely NOTHING to do with someone's local ISP.
Do you understand the concept of A SERVER, my Nordic friend?"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

when all other sites at that same time work ok? why only poly gives me this?
It happened a little later yesterday, i was able to lurk at the site until around 4:30pm GMT before getting "the server is busy" messages.
Granted i'm not a poly suscriber, ie i don't pay for access to poly, so that might have something to do with it, and the time difference between the uk and the usa. At my old job we used to notice a general slowdown over the internet when the usa 'came online', not a big problem but over a network of 100's of internet connected PC's it would get a little less smooth when users in the usa came online.
But no I don't think it's an ISP issue, or other sites would have problems as well - this is just poly.
