Gramphos, just asking, are you aware that many smilies do not show?

One other thing, is there a reason the smilies to the right of the where you post, change from time to time what is being shown on page one versus what is in the complete list when you click "more"?

I'm aware of the smilies not showing, but have assumed that it is Dan's doing, and that he will fix it. The order is seemingly random among the smilies with the same display order, and Dan hasn't set any display orders for the smilies, so all are randomized.

For some reason(s), some smilies did not 'make it' during the forum upgrade; I've been able to correct all but five of them, and am in turn investigating why that is the case (same treatment was applied to them as was those that were successfully corrected).

The order of the smilies have always been random as vB2 did not allow the ability to re-order them -- they were shown in the order that they were added to the database then. As for how they have appeared in vB3, I was not able to determine how the order was determined by the system. I can modify the order now, but it must be done manually; it's been a lower priority item in the upgrade, but now I am tinkering with it.

No, not that I can tell, but that is an option I would like to see too.

It is a shame a software would not let you either use the most used as primary or simply click and drag to a specific order

Either way, my compliments thus far on what has been done and is currently being brought into acceptable levels.

I have manually re-ordered our 100+ smilies ; I may do some minor tweaking in the coming days and weeks, but save the five smilies still not displaying at all, I'm satisfied with their status now. Enjoy!

You mean those smilies: (Ups their names don't even show up) Probably, they are missing at their supposed location.

Looks like the smilies used in the forums are stored at http://static.apolyton.net and those on the Smilie List are stored at http://apolyton.net. So on the Smilie List and are blue, on the new reply side box they are yellow and orange-red, respectively. And in the posts they are blue.

The problem is simply a case of the images not actually existing in the folder that they're supposed to be in.

http://static.apolyton.net/forums/im.../reallymad.gif is the doitnow! image, and gives a 404.
