  • 2 problems

    1. I attached two zip files to the following post:

When checking that they were not corrupted, I noticed that the "views" counters do not update properly. Also, "views" is a completely useless piece of info. The "Downloads" counter was far more informative to scen designers.

Also, before someone flips their wig at having a couple of cracks posted on Poly, these in no way damage the companies that developed CIVII MGE and TOT. They merely permit one to play MGE or TOT without the source CD in the CD drive. The source CD is still needed to install the games.

    2. When I tried to preview this post, I got the following message

    The website cannot display the page . . . . . . HTTP 500
Excerpts from the Manual of the Civilization Fanatic :

Money is not the root of all evil, it is the root of great empires.

    • Posting cracks or links to them on our forums is still against our policy. That remains true for older games like ToT as well. We just don't allow that.

        • The archived forums that have sub-forums have the text appearing at the top left as was e.g. the case with the OT earlier.

Just edit the forum and do no changes for the admin control panel to fix these kinds of issues.

Ah. I had tried to do so before, but I ended up getting rid of the "Sub-forums" links from where the parent forum was listed in the process (a la vB2.x).

                    • Sorry if this has been answered already; I don't have the patience to read 7 pages of posts. Anyway: I have to log in every time I visit, even if I checked "remember me" on my last visit. Anyone else having that problem? I'm using Firefox 3.0.5, if that helps.

                      • This is a known and oft reported problem. The only fix I can think of is to switch browser, or just sit tight. For the record, Opera 9.61, 9.63, and IE8 beta 2 do not suffer from this issue.

A pretty daft suggestion considering it doesn't seem to be a Firefox issue at all (3.0.5, 3.1 nightlies).

It shows Local Time, under my avatar correctly, but post time is 5 hours ahead.

At the bottom of the page it says "All times are GMT -6. The time is now 00:08."

So just the time of post is wrong. Anyone else have this?
Probably far from the first one, but I've got the same problem Tuberski's got: post times display as GMT despite me having them set as GMT -5 in Date & Time Options.
