Forum time remains set at GMT -5, which is accurate for EST (US & Canada), so other than individual account overrides I am not able to ascertain the source of the reports of time being displayed incorrectly. Hmmm...

Nothing. I see it's the local date that are alike for all members. Just testing you.

why are you idiots complaining about SIG's so much?

CFC has the same format for them.

They take up way too much space, that's why. It's spam. You don't see the problem because your sig is usually more intelligent than your post, but for most people seeing the same massive sigs is annoying. I've actually turned sigs off completely as a result of the new layout.

Here are the most important issues, as I see it:

- The "poster information" column on posts is way too tall. Kill the postcount and local time & date, move the title, location, and join date to the right of the avatar like we had it before.
- The fixed site width is a terrible idea. On some monitors it makes the page too wide, on others it makes it too small.
- The sidebar is absolutely useless, especially the "Latest poll" and "Coming events" parts.
- I would like to be able to change date formats, this DD-MM-YY format and 24hour time is angering me.
- Editing is broken somewhat sporadically -- I can edit the page but all I get is an infinite loop of the "Editing..." prompt even though it has finished editing (Firefox 3.0.5). Though it worked just now, so I've no idea what's going on.
- Need a way to minimize or hide the announcements. I don't care about PolyCast or PolyCon and I never will, and seeing these two lines all the time with the imposing BOLD ALL CAPS is driving me nuts. It's ridiculous that when I view the OTF, the top half of my screen is taken up by useless **** I never need.
- The "category" system (eg, "Humour" text) needs to be removed or have its font-size reduced. It's absurd to be so large as it is in viewing the forums.

first comments:

increase the height of the quick reply area.
icrease it's width too, because it's odd...

reduce the clutter surrounding it.


also - you have to make the signatures less prominent. this is especially horrible for short posts.

insert a few spaces, make it smaller font and grayish.
