Based on an update on the Podcast Awards website today, we will know this Sunday at 9PM EST (4PM PST) whether or not PolyCast is the winner in the "Gaming" category. It will be sometime in December before we know the outcome of the "Best Produced" category -- the date will be determined once it is known when they will have the finished trophies on hand.
If you've voted for the show today, there is just one more day to go!

I continue to vote every day. I'm getting a confirmation email 2 out of every 3 days... you would think that once they had confirmed a specific email address, they would stop with this silliness
They just know who to trust!
I've had only 4 confirmation e-mails so far

Thanks to all who cast their ballots for PolyCast in the "Best Produced" and "Gaming" categories anywhere from once to every day during the two-week voting period which ended yesterday.

PolyCast was not the winner -- that went to The Instance, a World of Warcraft podcast. Nevertheless, we certainly didn't hand the win to them... and neither did the other eight shows in the category.
Even if we haven't won "Best Produced" when that's announced early next month, we did what we collectively could to put in a good showing. Ultimately, as I said before and will say again, PolyCast was successfully nominated in both categories in the first place and this was our first year trying to be nominated even! As was stated during the category announcements today (see podcastawards.com for that full slate), there was in excess of 1700(!) shows nominated this year.
I'll update in this thread yet again when I learn the exact date and time of when the outcome of the "Best Produced" race, along with "People's Choice", is to be announced. The video of the other category winner announcements today is archived on the awards' homepage for on-demand viewing.

Thanks for the news DanQ
Just curious, it would be nice if there was a master list post award tally, to see how we faired, what kind of wall we are facing in respect tothe winners, so we may adapt a possible strategy for next years awards
Again, on behalf of Apolyton, I would like to thanks all who took time to support this effort on us being recognized

Fingers crossed.
Too bad about about not winning the gaming category, but I agree with your comments above Dan. Great showing!
btw - I missed at least one 24 hour cycle from the delay required by the confirmation. Aw well.
Dan, out of curiosity, do you have any idea of the number of Poly members who were voting? I appreciate that there is no 'technical' way of knowing. But having some idea gets us back to Grandpa Bruce's comment above regarding 'the wall' we are facing and how we might get over it.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war .... aw, forget that nonsense. Beer, please.

Appreciate the check-in, Bruce. PolyCast also lost in the "Best Produced" category (although I'm not surprised, given the winner).
Well, we shall have to work on getting our name out there, our by me,you, rest of Mods/Admin dedicated members..anyone who we can
You and your circle of dedicated workers have put too much into this not to be recognized properly!
Well, I will see what kind of Roadmap or business plan I can offer, but rest assured, acknowledged or not nationally, we appreciate it here
