    Vote for PolyCast Daily in 2008 Podcast Awards!

    - Vote Daily for PolyCast in the 2008 Podcast Awards (October 23rd-November 6th 23:59 Hawaiian Standard Time)! -


    Last month, the call went out to nominate PolyCast for the 2008 Podcast Award short lists in both the "Best Produced" and "Gaming" categories. Earlier today, the Top 10 nominees in those and other categories were announced. The result: PolyCast is one of the Top 10 nominees in both categories!

    On behalf of the PolyCast team, thank you for this. Now we need your help to vote for the show... and to vote every day!

    Between October 23rd-November 6th, 2008 23:59 Hawaiian Standard Time, please vote for PolyCast in both the "Best Produced" and "Gaming" categories every day; for complete details, see the rules of voting. Be certain to include your name and a valid email address to ensure the verification and in turn validity of your vote.

                    Awesome! It's amazing PolyCast got nominated in no less than two categories over much, much bigger podcasts -- e.g. our biggest competitor in the Best Produced category, the Totally Rad Show, had in the millions of downloads in 2007 compared to about twelve thousand for PolyCast -- and they record in a purpose-built studio with half a million dollars worth of equipment, compared to PolyCast's crummy USB headsets which combined between the 4 regular co-hosts probably cost little more than $150. Just goes to show that all those hours Dan spends in post-production are good for something after all

                    Thanks for all the nominations, and don't forget to vote every day starting Thursday! Winning would not only be a great reward for all the good work Dan, Imran, Maki and Cartimandua are doing, but it may also help a bit to bring some new people to our site, which would be good everyone -- even those that don't like PolyCast
