Just like no one really needed explanation to see how Asher was trolling you. The more times this issue is raised after its already dead clear, the worse it is, since it tends to create a counter-reaction.

Could you point out the particular post I made that is inappapropriate?

Continuously going on about Asher for several weeks now, every time his name comes up, is getting old. I doubt someone has lost any recollection of Asher's bullying. Or posting "some posters just don't respect manners etc".

Nothing that you did is inappropriate. It is however, eventually self defeating. It is obvious and self evident, and posting that makes me wanna go "duh".

And prey tell, when are the folks who disagree with the mods going to let this blow over? Why dont you take issue with them?

If you recall, I don't really keep to myself if I have a strong opinion about some poster bullying another one on the forums.

I've also told everyone that would hear, what I think the appropriate moderator response should be.

Posting PMs issue is the moderator's business and I don't wanna get into that. They don't need my help on that issue.

Except that I think that banning someone on Poly for being a jerk on another site is really border-line, even though I can really see the conflict.

As long as we're naming names: I actually remember b etor posting about having some sort of intimate relation / sexual act recently, with MRT and someone else calling her a whore, and later claiming they are just "helping her" save her from her future self.

Perhaps it has become more dramatic in my memory though.

Oh jeez. That was a quick, admittedly snippy response to something Ben posted. During which time I have posted on several of Laz's excellent history threads, on OG, etc. I really think now you are overreacting.

I thought about ending this discussion twice already.

But that is because I'm trying to make a point and I feel you don't get it at all.

And something that I forgot in the previous post - I tell you this because I care. I don't bother arguing with idiots or correcting people I have no problem see act silly.

From a PR standpoint, I really think you should refrain from having your name appear on any thread Asher related. Even if he comes back and calls your mother ugly names, you should silently report his post, without ever making so much as a comment in said thread.

Otherwise it becomes a troll-fest, and asher will have semi-reasonable ground to say you were name-calling him too, and some people will agree.

and this is my last post on the matter. because it has gone too far. and because if you still don't see my point, then its no use.

Let's be honest, Asher was(is) a bit of a turd. If you really have been here for 6+ years and think that he didn't deserve to be banned(Maybe you think he's an "institution" or a court jester or something) then you may need an adjustment as well.

While I disagree with some of the new management's decisions(stop breaking up the OT ) this isn't one of them.

Well things seem to be getting better through this discussion. Maybe a venting of something that has been building up has occurred. Frankly, I think the entire community needs to look at itself in reference to how it treats "Settler" posters and other newbies, but aside from that, if you keep pushing and pushing, you'll be on a shorter leash than others... it seems fairly clear to me. If anything, you'll be far more closely watched.
