I can't add anything more that someone else has already mentioned. Thanks, Soren, for doing such a great job, and good luck at EA. You will be missed.

      Cheers.

Like many others have said this is a great loss for the Civ series and a great gain for the Spore series. I wish you very well Soren on your work at Maxis!

I sure will look at Spore more closely too. I hope Soren, doesn't come too late into the game that things are already set in stone and he can bring a lot to that game the way I believe he brought to civ IV. I think he, by his decisions of relying on the fan base among other things, made Civ IV the great game it is. Thanks and good luck.

Hell no, Spore first, then SMAC2

Considering that the latest release date we have heard is late 2007/early 2008 it seems like it's too late to make many changes to the game

I haven't come right out and said this in this thread, but I think that Soren did a great job with Civ4 and wish him luck in his new company and project.

It seems you only did good to Civ, and we're proud to have you as an old-timer (May 2001, respect )

I hope you'll keep on visiting... oh and, btw, have you seen the OT section?

Does this mean we're one step closer to SMAC2?

We don't know if it will be a series of games. It could be a total flop and then Soren would merrily return to Civ...

Nah, seriously, thanks Soren for all the great work and effort you put on our beloved game. I sure hope you'll be successful in your new endeavour.
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.
